I really enjoyed The Rivalry. I am in the midst of writing a romantic comedy myself. So I have read "Writing The Romantic Comedy" by Billy Mernit and watched countless rom-coms. Yours hit on all cylinders and kept with the format. I now see why this was chosen as screenplay of the month. In my opinion your script is great. These are just suggestions: Great obstacles... read

I really enjoyed the script. It was gritty and well told. I like that fact that the back story unveiled as the story went along. The reveal was great and placed in a good part of the script. Here are a few constructive points: -I think when he was caught dealing drugs out of the restaurant the owner was a bit too nice. I think he should have lit into him. He let him... read

    hello sir,
i recently reviewed your piece "Fetchit"
and i experienced a technical difficulty or a missundustanding of controls because my review of it was posted under that of another screenplay...which is quite unfortunate and embarassing considering this was my first assignment ever on this site

so the review mistakenly was posted under the script "Drug Dealing Fried Chicken" so if you would like to read it...it's there, i'm trying to get it taken down and moved to the correct place but so far no such luck.

sorry for the inconvience, but let me say i really enjoyed it

Hey there: Thank you SO much for your reivew of "The Humane Facade". I appreciate the time you took to read it and send a review and of course, I'm glad you liked it.

In answer to your question, I left the ending 'open' on purpose because there really isn't an ending. (In my own mind: Samantha dies from her HIV status, Shen does not get AIDS/HIV but both are better for having met each other). I wanted the audience to decide what happens to everyone. I felt that having Sam reach out (fixing the beads and getting the sweatshirt washed) was more than enough for her; Shen realizes that not all can be changed, and Mildred and Jason 'lighten up' just a bit and release some of the shame and guilt they have.

Thank you again though - really appreciate it!
