I saw an article in Empire magazine in 2003 about the launch of Triggerstreet. I can honestly say without that I wouldn't have thought of making a short film...you can decide whether that's a good or bad thing. Been a blast so...

A review of Old Acquaintance be Forgotby doonae on 11/13/2011What an opening! Love the narration. Love the words. Technically amazing, editing, framing, music, lighting all spot on. The camera movements are great. Superb costume design. I'd normally try and give some pointers but you don't need any. great short, I could imagine it as a segment in a Paul Thomas Anderson movie. A definite recommend from me. I want to go to that party... read

A review of The Blindby doonae on 11/11/2011Really nice editing on this flick, tied in well with the audio foley and music (which was also well done). Quite a surreal wee shot, which I liked. The filming style (heavy contrast black and white) actually reminded me of Darren Aranofsky's Pi, which is always a good thing. Very interesting stuff, good job.

A review of The Battle Of Berksbyby doonae on 11/11/2011Some great lines in this "in war the human mind is a different type of warrior!". Liked the humorous/series slant throughout. The acting was really good. Good camera work. Sound seemed fine for the most part. The music throughout really helped the overall feel. Would it have been an idea to fill the balloons with coloured liquid to emphasise their impact? Maybe. Anyway, great... read

What a fantastic group of talented and creative filmmakers at ZMO Productions. I tried opening your website to learn more about your work but I could not open it. I hope it comes back up soon.

Yeah I see what you mean about the keys at the start of O9. Primarily I bypassed this detail because of the CLOSET opening scene. I've been in a lot of girls apartments (hee hee)and have never seen such order to a woman's closet. The scene was crisp but, it really gave me the impression that it was his. Based on his somatic familiarity, and lack of normal female junk. Outside of the picture I got no strong hints that this was a her apartment and focused on my interpretation of what was going on. Blending the photo into her chosen escape reality was a good move but there was just so little time to see that detail. One could easily miss it. Most of the apt. scenes gave me a cold solitary feel which reinforced my initial ideal, and the plastic at the end continued to support that. Intentional or not I enjoy the ideal that one can view your work in a variety of different ways. Nice!

Fair point. Originally we shot a scene where she answered the door and he barged in, but I felt that it took away from the slow build up. I'd watched a film before I done the edit called "Of Gods And Men" and I think I was sold on the idea of "nothing happens...then BAM!". If I'd went for the home invasion over the credits (as was the plan) I think I'd have lost that. I suppose it's another one to chalk up to the "I intentionally make my films opaque for the viewer to work out" approach!
