Good casting on the child, the mother wasn’t as believable, how could she leave her child like that! Great makeup on the shadowy figure. The acting on the older lead isn’t very good; matter of fact the male lead pulled me out of the film often with his bad acting. There should’ve have been some more trippy shots of the creature and the lead, it felt to stagey with the way you... With better blocking and better lighting I think that would sell those things better. I liked the digital lighting effect that you did with the creature having lights through his eyes and mouth. I liked the scene a lot when you see all of the creatures following him. Sometimes the switch the blue light was a bit to much for me, but I understood why you did it. To show that we are in his head. The “Leave her alone” line was delieverd really badly. I had issues with the acting after the first character. When the main actor throws the kid on the bed that looked great and it totally sold. Also seeing the creatures come ouf of the darkenss into the light was great, during this segment where the creatures have is little girl was great, more of that style lighting would have been nice everytime we see the creature. Well done lighting tricks. Sometimes a bit too dramatic but it works. It sells what it needs to sell. The main problem with your story is that besides when we started with him as a child I just didn’t care for the lead actor so I didn’t care for his character. I was more interested in what was going to happen to the boy being left alone by his parents. I just didn’t care out him as a dad. You never really gave us a reason why he wants to kill people we are just thrown into it. I felt you left with out us and we have to try and fill in the gaps. You use some nice techniques next time I’d like to see more character. This was a little bit too long especailly since our main character really didn't have much to do, I think you could have made this shorter. I really liked him covered in blood at the end, what a great moment that reminded me of Descent. Overall nice job, there were some isssues. read

Nice use of B&W, Iiked the opening shots that really showed the dynamic range of exposure, we had our hot hots and our deep blacks. Very rich and it creates a good tone.
