Bio
I am attempted to overcome graduating from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI with Digital Cinema degree in May of 2002. It seems moving to the stix to make movies is a long road, possibly the one less traveled which has taught me exactly why it is less traveled. The majority of my work strives to create a strong sense of mood, with a heavy focus on the psychological introspection. It sounds fancy, but really I could just say it deals with despair, and loneliness and self defeat with a dry humor and a lot of social criticism. I created a music video for Norwegian electronic muscian Fet Tapet which was accepted into the Zoomin Film Festival in Oslo Norway. After graduation, I moved into an empty building downtown with 5 other artists and turned the retail space below us into an art gallery and public studio space to promote local artist. I'm always writing, shooting photos, and making movies.

A review of Think About Youby jErk on 02/19/2003Very tight little piece, well edited and shot. Randall Moore shows lots of talent for such a short piece and I would be interested in seeing how he directs a piece with more acting, and some dialog. Wise choice here to avoid such. There is room for more story and developement and a little more substance.

A review of Hold-Upby jErk on 02/18/2003The priciple idea of distracting the viewer, or controling their attention so intently, they won't wander away or ahead of you is pulled of magnificently in the Hold Up. The use of lighting pulled tension out of otherwise straight forward framing. Good variety cu's and med shots edited in a deliberate manner to hold up the audiences attention. The story could have died right... read

A review of Non-Abductees Anonymousby jErk on 02/18/2003When you watch a film that mocks society, pokes fun at people's insecurities and their attempts to deal with them you should laugh, and if mixed with aliens, you will. The shooting style produced a sense of ultra-realism which comfortably fits a mind's idea of what an alien support group would be like: part out-patient re-hab center, part weekend church retreat. The editing... read
