Maybe someday the camera man will shot car chases or music videos. The energy and compostion of shots is nothing less then impressive. However, your payoff is piss poor. You went through all of this work, set up all of these angles to get to WHAT? A guy who has to take a piss. Well it might have sounded funny in a converstion but as you can see it does not work.

Wow, this neighbor has a lot of secret spy stuff in his house. I must admitt it was a quicker nine minutes then most of these longer shorts. I was entertained by the acting and story. The main problems were the camera and the lighting. They were both very inconsistant and disruptive. I liked the energy and story but it does not make the grade.

Freaky Cool

I watched your other movie and I liked both but this one had much more to offer. The dark feel/quality that this film has is really cool. The acting and editing is well done. I really could get inside this guys head even though I really didn't want to. I don't know how good a chance to get in the top ten (because of how dark this film is) but I am rooting for ya.

A great little movie. I know you are just sharing these images and for that I thank you. It is not often that one gets to see some great war footage. You also managed to pick some great pictures that really slowed down the effort and made it more personal. I am not sure about the choice of music but I guess it worked.

I loved the black and white film look that Sickness had. It really added to the dreamlike state I think that you were trying to create. The voice over is really creapy as is the story. I think you really captured the mind and ideas of a sick person through your editing and visuals.

Slow speed

Some films work at a slow speed and manage to pull it off (Fargo being one example). This film has an ok concept that could work but lacks the directing and acting strength to pull it off. If you are going to make the viewer stop and look at your shot and you acting for a long period of time the acting should be good.

Not this time kids

A review of The Epic Struggle: Man vs. Hobo

What you have here is a few ambitious kids who went out and made a movie(maybe their first). Although the lighting is no good and the acting in not there, you can tell that they are enjoying film making. That is the good I can say. So keep on making shorts and having fun and maybe someday you will make something that will have more universal appeal.

WOW. I don't know what the point of this film was and I really tired to find a reason. The best I could come up with was gun eduction but the whole movie is a polar opposite to that concept. Next time you want to make a movie about a guy who takes out a gun loads it and points it do us all a favor and don't.
