  A review of The Sleepover Story

  The Sleepover Story annoyed me the first 30 seconds or so with the kids repeating random noise, but once I focused on the interesting editing and cinematography it drowned out the kids noise. I like the way this short is shot in the beginning as the kids run around wildly, and I really like the banter between the kids in the bedroom, it screamed alot more real then alot of... I like the way this short is shot in the beginning as the kids run around wildly, and I really like the banter between the kids in the bedroom, it screamed alot more real then alot of stuff I see in which kids are a bit too cookie cutter, not that that's a bad thing, but that doesnt depict most kids in this day and age.
  
  Overall this short delivers, I'd actually love to see this as a feature as I believe these kid actors would be interesting in a long piece of creepy cinema.

  A review of Finding Dennis

  Finding Dennis is fantastic short film work by this filmmaker. It's direction, it's acting, it's cinematography, it's sharp, interesting editing to go with a very good score made this short a winner for sure with me. The only thing I wish is that I got more story behind these two characters because the short buildup in this film made me wanna know more. This seems like it could... The only thing I wish is that I got more story behind these two characters because the short buildup in this film made me wanna know more. This seems like it could be the opening few minutes of a feature that from the point it ended would then go into the backstory if these characters and what led them to that church, and what happens beyond the church after this meeting between brother and sister, which seemingly is good vs. evil.

  A review of A Doll Named Charlotte

  A Doll Named Charlotte is a short film that has the right and best intentions for it's overall purpose as creepy horror cinema, it just technically lacks in places. For me personally the acting was the huge deterrent, it's not good, especially from the lead male in the face, and for me, if the acting is bad from the lead in a film, it hurts the overall product. For me personally the acting was the huge deterrent, it's not good, especially from the lead male in the face, and for me, if the acting is bad from the lead in a film, it hurts the overall product. I do realize this is a competition film and may be the first for the filmmakers, and that being said you did a good job. I see the potential for sure with more cinema like this, just hopefully with better casting.
