This is an interesting film, but let down by the acting. I liked the story and it kept me entertained (although I think the whole thing could have been edited down a little bit). It's a shame there was not more time to spend on getting the performances right, but with a zero budget new filmmakers have to sacrifice certain elements. Hopefully there will be a budget for the next one and you can do the script justice.

A review of One Upby smalltimeinc on 04/16/2005The best short I've seen in a long time. Technically it was excellent -very well shot and brilliantly edited. I especially liked the split screen at the beginning, and the fact that it wasn't over-used. The 2 actors delivered well and kept me interested, as did the script (probably the best thing about the film). Would love to know how much this cost? Keep up the good work!... read
A review of The Familiar Face (original version)by smalltimeinc on 04/16/2005It's well put together - for such a low budget I'm impressed. The camerawork and editing is all very pleasing. However the story lets it down. There's nothing particulary wrong with it, it's just that I've seen it all before.... many, many times. I also think that a bit less narration would have been nice - especially at the beginning. All in all, a very good effort and I'd... read
A review of Spy vs. Spyby smalltimeinc on 09/08/2004For something that was shot in 3 hours this is an impressive little film. The choice of shots and the way in which they are edited is more than competent, and the whole thing moves along quite nicely. My only problem with it is the pay-off. It's not particulary funny or clever, but overall the film entertains.
