It's That Bloke From Hollyoaks... !
I love the dialogue in these films from Daniel Johnson, and Can't Commit keeps the bar at the level to which I've become accustomed. It's self analytical, acerbic and comedic all in one! Once again the dialogue was brought to life masterfully by good acting and solid production values. Moreover, Can't Commit is a good reminder for people not to over-complicate their lives (especially love lives) and just go with their gut more often than not. Great stuff!

Young Man's Great Adventure epitomises the kind of One The Road attitude, typical of young (men) in particular. The urge to set loose in the wide world (in a nation the size of a continent), spread your wings and see the world. Usually with some half-arsed plan and up yours to reality.

Elmer's works become like a video diary. If he has some musing or form of expression, then up it seems to go here, which is a quite proficient way of social networking. The Short Shorts of Elmer Lang, Vol. 1, gives a well rounded view on the freedoms we take for granted in the West. Yes, there are flaws to our system, though you try living elsewhere!
  • A review of Middle Ol' Me

I'm a middle child myself, so Middle Ol' Me is preaching to the choir. This short affirms what I have suspected for some time, that the middle child has a unique perspective on the family. Although rather than being a negative thing, sometimes being middle can help you develop fuller as a person.
