Well written, tight, clean, and lean. Very nice. I remember reading this a few months back, don't remember my review, but whatever whittling was done made this a sharp, no word wasted. The "accident" scene was vividly described, realistic without being melodramatic. I don't know why Billy bothered to say, "Help is on the way." That remark seemed slipped in to decieve the reader and, for me, that's the only time the writer showed.

But what you see in this story is what you get: there's no conflict, mystery, tension, or suspense. But this is a happy story about happy people. How can you complain about that? I do think... read
