New Words Learnt Today
This was a decent enough effort. An interesting subject matter and a sad take on the consequences. The film makers did a fairly good job handling this. The acting was very good, with good locations and a decent script. However, the story never really felt all that compelling and I can't quite put my finger on why. Perhaps it needed to be a bit more dramatic or more action would have lifted this above average.

If I have one complaint, it's that the sound (dialog)... read

Had to put this aside for a day and think about it a bit before preparing this review. First of all, one thing is for sure: I enjoyed listening to this man tell his stories. I really liked the tie-in between his stories and the title/theme of the film. It was quite compelling, actually. That being said, I'm not sure the visuals did enough. I liked that it wasn't a long piece,... read
