The film is an interesting piece of history that I did not know anything about. However, I had a hard time watching for the same reasons I have trouble watching civil war documentaries or serials on jazz. That still-image effect. Whenever a documentary is mostly in still shots, I tune out. It is not to say that the images are not well done, but without any interviews or more shots of maybe the sites these things happened on, I cannot relate to the material. My apologies, but it's something I have trouble getting past.

The casting of the female lead is perfect, always glowing and blundering right on cue. The lighting and camera work was very cool, especially that time-lapse montage on her dates.
