  Great Work

  Rom Com's are not really my thing, but, regardless, your short is solid. The casting of the female lead is perfect, always glowing and blundering right on cue. The lighting and camera work was very cool, especially that time-lapse montage on her dates. And for some reason, I really liked how the ex-boyfriend looked so confused in the beginning.   My only criticism... Too much narration. The points where the narrator would speak for the characters were cool at first, but after that, I wanted the characters to speak for themselves. I think it would have helped me identify with them a bit more. But all that aside, great work. read

  The film poses an intense question about America and nationality. Not to mention racism, but I think all the arguments go hand-in-hand. The film is very in our face and needs to be so. Your performance, as always, fits the bill. Your intensity is what sells me on all of these films. The stuff you write and how you read it is very raw, personal, and haunting. Another vote for...

  The film is an interesting piece of history that I did not know anything about. However, I had a hard time watching for the same reasons I have trouble watching civil war documentaries or serials on jazz. That still-image effect. Whenever a documentary is mostly in still shots, I tune out. It is not to say that the images are not well done, but without any interviews or more... The film is an interesting piece of history that I did not know anything about. Whenever a documentary is mostly in still shots, I tune out. It is not to say that the images are not well done, but without any interviews or more shots of maybe the sites these things happened on, I cannot relate to the material. My apologies, but it's something I have trouble getting past. read
