It's a dog eat dog world, and our man clearly recognizes this. He takes considerable action to retain what's his, and fights for a motive that all people have experienced. The storyline is very clear and easy to follow, and the descriptions of his polar perspectives in love and hate are vivid. The climactic tie-in at the end, and our man's eventual success, is also very entertaining... read

Mr. T puts forth a heavy account against the great injustices in our western world. It is profound and very meaningful, with a goal that escalates in an interesting fashion as we are hooked to see how Lucy will accomplish her concrete yet lofty goal. Especially with her attempt beginning at the lowly job-center. Her proceeding rise through the ranks of the public authority... read

So unfortunately distant is today's modern culture from theology and these timeless stories. It is tremendous to see a current account such as this with variations from the authors own heart. The refreshing reminders of the ancient story are soft and eloquent so that they fit into the ancient writing styles. In other words, the depth is achieved so that you can respect this... read

Thanks for reviewing Panther- it is very much a work in progress but I wanted to get some feedback as I have not been involved with a writing group for a few years now and have found it hard to put writing up for review. I thought that as I am aware this is a piece with flaws I would not run away from negative comments and perhaps get some idea of how to handle what I think is a good idea for development. I am sorry to give you a difficult read but thank you for your responses. Some of the comments have been very useful to me and I will file Panther for a few months and give it a full rework later.
I will stay in the culture of TSL in future and submit more finished pieces- I have found writing much easier since posting Panther so it did work on one level.
    Thanks again

Hi Luke and thank you very much for your review of 'Demeter and Persephone'. It is partly autobiographical as you realised; my mother's name is actually Dimitra, she is Greek, she made her way to England where she married my father; 24 odd years later I returned to Greece, met my husband - it's not as dark as Hades though! The funny thing is, I wrote this story about 12 years ago... when my daughter was just a little girl. She's just started at university in Brighton. Prophetic or what? Let's see how it goes on.

Thanks again, and good luck with your own work.

Thank-you for reviewing Journal Entry of a Survivor. Perhaps, I could work on describing different areas such as a peaceful January morning, sights, smells. The stoy is a little difficult due to the fact that it is not customary for the Shoshone to describe the tragic event. Some do and tell a graphic tale of horror. There will be more and will be working the story as I have been for a few years.
