The first paragraph was confusing to me. On the second page -- Was Tabitha really older than Miss Jones? Miss Jones is portrayed well, however, the stripper that is saving up for law school sounds a bit cliched. Things started getting interesting on page 7, with the man and the suitcase. the growing suitcase was not what I expected. The POV switch to Tabitha was a little... read

This was a well written story and a very enjoyable read. Even though I wasn't born yet in 1948, I felt a bit of nostalgia. I liked the mix of description, action, and thoughts -- very nice. Hey Phil,
A while back, you reviewed my short story, Scorching, and found it interesting but incomplete. You wanted more of a story and more depth about the character. Well, I've since expanded it into a novel and have put it up on Amazon as a Kindle book. With the much expanded room I've been able to add a lot more shades to the character, and more actual story. If you're interested I'd like to hear what you have to say about it, and perhaps you'd like to write a review of it.
