    Overall pretty good, I liked the focus on the inner workings of the shadow organization, I found it more interesting than had you focused on the politicians and had the assassins be more in the background. The sense of Texas is pretty good, the senator's brassy wife was my favorite character, but some tweaking on some of the more out of place individual lines would serve you... read

    Overall I found this a very clearly written, interesting story. The back story about the lance is interesting and the flashbacks to dramatize it all are well done, as are the flashbacks to the crucifixion that transition smoothly with the grandmother's visions.
