  The title is very close too my feelings about the SP. Although I believe that a good story lurking beneath this effort, I find myself wrestling with a number of issues. I thought the role reversal aspect of Sculley and Frank was nicely plotted. The dialogue worked fairly well in most instances. Structurally, the story hit the necessary beats. The dialogue worked fairly well in most instances. Structurally, the story hit the necessary beats. The issues I had deal with the execution. Way to much telling, rather than showing emotion. Tell us with dialogue and actions, rather than exposition. The VO wore a bit thin. While I believe you have a good story, I'm afraid that when the unneccessary narrative is trimmed away, you might be down to around 80 pages (a bit short). I liked the fact that it was presented in such a way that it can appeal to a wide audience range. Also, I enjoyed the premise and the eventual climax. I wish you well -- Rick read

  A seriously strong screenplay you've written here. It's got a very commercial feel with just enough moments that let me believe it could be a great gritty little film if you have the right actors in place that don't try and romanticize the characters too much. It's very tight and yet there's a lot of room for character and motivation. I'd maybe bump Peyton up a bit so in... A seriously strong screenplay you've written here. It's very tight and yet there's a lot of room for character and motivation. I'd maybe bump Peyton up a bit so in the end we feel better for Frank, make her even more likeable. It does what a great SP does, give you what you want but not in the way you expected. I had some minor problems with it and they've been e-mailed to you. For the most part this is a script that's very close, if not ready, to go into production, I truly hope it gets that opportunity. Congrats on a very entertaining script. read

  This held me the whole read. It was predictable. I mean I knew the outcome, but the characters were well written and I enjoyed their interaction and dialogue. Well done. The story was interesting too, sort of reminded me of "Northern Exposure" meets "Picket Fences". I liked the fact that both the lead men had major flaws they over came, including the female lead. That made it satisfying for me. So the only negative if you can call it that, is that it was predictable. Maybe add more twists into the story, it was pretty straightforward, but it worked. read

  I enjoyed this screenplay. It was very funny and the characters were overall well constructed. The concept was interesting and I would definitely watch this movie. One thing that I would change is how Sierra says that Frank is to good for her at the end. Frank was a liar, which does not at all fit with that dialogue. It also has a sort of partial resolution, which I liked... I enjoyed this screenplay. It was very funny and the characters were overall well constructed. I don't think that Sierra would have ended up with either of them after what they did to her. Still, it ends with them as friends, which is believeable because Mineral Point is a small town. Good job!!! read

  A well written script! The characters were well done, the arcs were great, the pacing went well, and overall, this is a movie that I would watch! Good job.Suggestions for a re-working: You need to watch your slug lines. There were times when they didn't really work well, or seem correct. Also, I'm not sure, but there are some slug lines that should be flashbacks at the... A well written script!   Really enjoyed this SP. Would like to see more of Peyton and Frank's budding attraction (not just the John Denver thing). Would like to see Peyton become more than just a sidekick to Sierra (a little more interaction with Frank...that shows us, the audience, what Frank is overlooking). The ending was a little flat because of it.Not that thrilled with the Narration and V.O... Really enjoyed this SP.   I found it to be a terrific blend of romantic attraction and self discovery. The main characters finally realizing their own potentials at the end, let the audience see that nothing can warm the heart of a woman like the old theory of ...just be yourself.
