  Not bad. Not great. The ending was too abrupt: Jenny takes Chase back far too quickly. Chase never really grows despite the nods to his lost time in the trailer, he comes out of it far too quickly considering he was just sipping urine out of a beer bottle. I might suggest developing this part more specifically, which is to say, it takes more than one scene with a friend... Not bad. Not great. The ending was too abrupt: Jenny takes Chase back far too quickly.

  When I started reading this I thought it was going to be a so called comedy in the style of so many at the moment that just try to offend as much as possible to get laughs. But I have to say I really liked it, it was genuinely funny and the dialogue was in my opinion superb. Great story, some great characters and some very colourful language make this a real contender for...   I think some people may find some of this a little too offensive and I felt like i should have too but it's done in such a good humoured way that I chose to overlook any potential offense.
  
  Just a couple of point from me that you may choose to ignore or think about. I felt like Larry's outing of Chase on the phone could've been done a bit earlier so that him and Jenny had more time to realise what they were missing in each other.
  
  I also didn't really sense too great a change in Chase. I think after the initial period of his and Jenny's relationship had gone a bit stale that he would go straight back to his priginal persona which isn't particularly endearing. Perhaps an incident showing a real change in his emotional outlook could be good.

  I really liked this. Romantic comedies aren't my thing, but I REALLY liked this. The one big problem I had with this script was the ending. It just ends so abruptly. You get them together on the last page and then fade out. After all the time we spend rooting for them to get back together, I felt the story needed a bit more of a payoff than that. Other than that, Larry comes off as a stereotypical sleazy Jewish agent/attourney/manager. The Nate character doesn't add much to the story except for his speech at the end, which could have easily been given to Larry. Maybe I'm wrong, but having Chase be more of a loner would probably add to the character and give Jenny more importance.
  
  Loved the roof jumping! That along with your concept are new twists on a well worn Genre, I think we'll be seeing your name on a movie poster someday.

  As a Trigger Street script, I really liked this screenplay. Great flow, some funny lines and it knew what it was. As far as it selling and being produced, I’m not so sure. The things I liked. Jenny was a good character and I really liked her. I liked the you bang her line and the Dan Brown joke about hitting the kids. Laughed out loud for both of those. I liked that the...   I like the idea of coupling the two people you would never think would be together. That’s always interesting.
  
  I liked the guy friends, they had some good lines and made Chase seem less of a jerk by being worse than him in some ways.
  
  Things I didn’t like.
  
  Not sure I liked Chase all that much. Why am I on this guy’s side in the beginning? Of course he starts in a bad place so he can grow, but it seems the womanizing guy has been done to death.
  
  Not completely blown away by the ending. Liked the start more.

  SJP is not gonna love you! But, it's okay because lots of us are convinced her wardrobe assistant is an over-the-top overly dressed transvestite love you already.
  
  So, concept, this is not novel as concepts go but it's spun in just that inside out way to make it refreshing.
  
  A few suggestions: p. 12 as should be at. P. 14 "Larry and Chase turn to Nate curiously." This doesn't fit either character.
  
  Larry turns to Nate cynically and says, "yeah, and that will help us, we'll throw him in with Ryan O'Neal and ... " (the guy who just was all over the news for beating his girlfriend sorry don't follow the tabloids much) Chris(?) maybe?
  
  Chase turns to Nate vacuous and says, "sure, see? People don't care." Holds to the characters better. You could probably find a better sentence than this for Chase sorry in a rush.
  
  P. 17 "I need some heals." He needs "heels?" To be honest, I think you started an idea and stopped and didn't finish it. Not sure to what this refers.
  
  p. 74 "smarter than you?" Suggest "smart enough to put together a PR spin like that."
  
  She is too smart to be comparing IQ scores which mean very little, people have differing kinds of intelligences. And, he's clearly not a PR meister, he's lucky to still be alive at the top of ratings with his current mouthiness. Obviously, his spin meister, Larry, does get this.
  
  I thought the PR spin on the rehab suggestion was cute. Could toss in "stealing $400K worth of jewelry and then being photographed half naked a.k.a. Lindsay Lohan," style. She is unfortunately, extremely talented though. In any event, there are a few other spins you could throw in here, Hollywood keeps them coming.
  
  Obviously, you did not write this to achieve high art or the next great Tolstoy novel. For what it is though, it doesn't call attention to itself in language, behaviorisms, or silly slants. For the genre it fits in, it's excellent.
  
  It is also very honest writing. Written from someone with enough self-effacing integrity to see the truth of the difference between males and females. That by itself is a very rare quality in this world and I applaud you for your insight.
  
  Overall, it was a lovely quick read, and is perfect for a night at the beach comedy. Thanks so much for giving me some great laughs for an hour this evening!

  There’s hardly anything in the way of a unique or unexpected turn or twist, Chase’s final speech didn’t really do it for me, and I found Jenny’s quick 180 at the very end to be somewhat unsatisfying

  General Comments:
  
  Overall, I thought the movie was tremendously entertaining, and that you might have a potential winner on your hands
  
  Some suggestions:
  
  The basic premise was (to my knowledge) quite original, but the characters seemed a bit too similar to those in Knocked Up.
  You might want to consider adding a little something to both Chase and Nate, in order to distinguish them from Ben Stone and his crew
  And IMHO, Jenny might need a major overhaul. I found her to be dull and/or unlikable about half of the time, and I just don’t think that she’s a particularly good fit for the film.
  
  The third act was a bit too predictable and cliché-filled for my taste (-- although to be honest, I’m not so sure that will really hurt your chances of actually selling the script). You might want to throw at least some sort of curve our way at some point, or perhaps making Chase’s re-pursuit of Jenny a bit more passionate/romantic/exciting/interesting.
  
  As I mentioned earlier, I really don’t get how a tactless / offensively straightforward person like Chase managed to end up with eight bestsellers before ruining his reputation with the public.
  I’d strong recommend making The Funeral his first bestseller

  It was a real treat to read something so well done. Page 76 was a little predictable, and overall it was a bit generic, but it worked really well. And funny, the inside jokes like the gold bracelet/stone thing. I just read his book, ha! This was a real joy to read. It moved along beautifully. And you wrote GWAR into it that was the best part for me. I’ve listened to Gwar since... It was a real treat to read something so well done. To be honest I thought you were a girl, the coolest girl ever. And couldn’t wait—couldn’t scroll fast enough to get to the review so’s I could hit on you. But to my chagrin, you’re a dude.
  I was, at first, reluctant to review this because the logline sounded too “Sex in the City,” and I hate that show, but you had S.J.P. pooping in a port-a-potty, fxxking awesome!” And to think, I hesitated.” I truly loved it.

  I just finished reading the C-Word screenplay by Mike Leon. I loved it! Bravo Mr. Leon. It held my attention from the very beginning to the very end. I laughed in many places, got worried in some and roared hysterically in others. I really can't say enough good things about the C-Word screenplay other than I hope it becomes a film soon. I can already see the Chinese lady... I just finished reading the C-Word screenplay by Mike Leon. I loved it! Bravo Mr. Leon. It held my attention from the very beginning to the very end. I laughed in many places, got worried in some and roared hysterically in others.
  I really can't say enough good things about the C-Word screenplay other than I hope it becomes a film soon.
  I can already see the Chinese lady with the goat kicking Chase in the shins. The only thing I'm not totally sure of is the mother with the three little daughters, 5, 6, and 9. Little girls watching talk shows at that age aren't quite believable let alone knowing why Chase is a bad man. But no matter, the C-Word screenplay is

  Congratulations on this enjoyable screenplay, the best out of the three I’ve read on this site so far. I laughed out loud quite a bit, which is essential for any comedy. You can obviously write comedy well, very well actually, I’m glad to say there were more hits than misses so well done on that. The strongest part of the script were the characters in my opinion.   The strongest part of the script were the characters in my opinion. Nate was my favorite but Chase was likeable in an unusual sort of way. You did a great job with Jessica as I had worries in the early pages that she would take to Chase too easily which would not have been realistic after what he said on TV. But you handled that situation well, Chase really had to work to impress her and it worked well. The supporting characters all done their jobs well.
  
  Dialogue was great throughout. I can honestly say I never had one single complaint about a character saying something that never came across as real. It was crucial you got this right as there are long spells of talking and not much else going on, just back and forth conversations, but none of them felt boring or stretched out. I enjoyed the small references to Jessica Alba and Sarah Jessica Parker and a small sentence about Christian Bale and Terminator 4.
  
  I really had to think about if there were any ways to improve this as when I finished, I thought it pretty darn good as it is. My only small complaint, would be the ending. I feel it was a little too sudden. I wasn’t too sure if the ninja cyborg program worked for me but you do need Chase to accomplish something and write what he knows so I take that back. The real problem is on page 95, Chase gets pulled in the window, Jessica’s still angered, but within one page, they kiss and have a happy ending. They’ve been apart 6 months and she just takes him back like that? It was far too abrupt, I think this scene could be beefed up a bit. Maybe she could just say to him that they will work on it instead of taking him back right away, maybe even add a small scene of them 6 months down the line or something to give more closure to the movie.
  
  You really did a great job here. I could easily see this being filmed and would imagine it would not cost much at all to produce which makes it all the more attractive to potential buyers. Well done! read
