WALT'S ATTIC is the story of a sensitive boy who bridges the fears and loneliness of adolescence under the influence of his Aunt Billie and his friend Mali, a sassy, naive tomboy.When 12-year-old Walt Cooper's grandmother dies, he is invited to spend the summer with his Aunt who owns a resort in Northern Minnesota. Once there, he meets Mali, a thirteen-year-old tomboy who takes Walt under her arm. Together, they discover the lights and shadows of adolescence. Through the pain of betrayal, the awakening of their sexuality, the two grow together but find that they are separated by more than physical distance.
