  Goofy In A Good Way

  Yeah, not a bad film. Definitely a fun one to watch as I'm sure it was fun to make also. It had it's moments and it seemed to move forward at a good enough pace. The comedy of this film is more of a goofy comedy which I think worked good for this sort of film. And I thought the two main characters were well defined and entertaining to watch. It does pay satirical reference... Yeah, not a bad film. Definitely a fun one to watch as I'm sure it was fun to make also. It had it's moments and it seemed to move forward at a good enough pace. The comedy of this film is more of a goofy comedy which I think worked good for this sort of film. And I thought the two main characters were well defined and entertaining to watch. It does pay satirical reference to a few indie filmmaking cliche's which I enjoyed since, for me, filmmaking has always been more of a personal and artistic experience rather than an 'image' experience (if that makes any sence) and I enjoy seeing that sort of pretentiousness being made fun of - especially in a goofy sort of way. Great stuff! read

  Very funny, and scary at the same time

  I thought the acting was very good for an over the top comedy movie. There weren't any award winning performances, but there didn't need to be, and that's what made it funny. What made it scary was the fact that I actually know two guys exactly like that. It's the classic filmaker story that works like he was on a full production set, but really has no idea what he is doing... I thought the acting was very good for an over the top comedy movie.   I thought the film was funny, you have good taste. Ummm, There were several funny parts in this picture, and they were all acted out really smoothly. The Producers, Cast and all Staff of this shoot did a really great job in my opinion. The Picture its self, I whould have to give it two thumbs up, because I laughed through over 1/2 of it, Great Writer and Staff.

  The beginning of the short really got my attention. I could see that the people involved were there to have fun and make it possible to create something and make it happen. It's always really nice to have that from your crew. The story itself was interesting and funny at times. Spamdance was nice. It really seemed that most of the time though, the actors were forcing it to... The beginning of the short really got my attention. I lost interest when I'd see the actors forcing the humor to come out in their scenes. I would have liked it to be more serious for it to be funnier. Overall though, it was nice to see all the people involved with this film. It is about having a geat time and creating something to affect others. Good job to everyone involved. read

  I didn't love it, I didn't hate it... most of it was completely forgettable. The two main actors do a good enough job with their roles. Even though it was long (for the site), it moved along pretty quickly, and I was never really bored. But it never made me laugh either. The film that they were making, actually looked much more interesting than what was shown. I wanted... I didn't love it, I didn't hate it... most of it was completely forgettable.   Utter self indulgence reaches even the lowest gutters in hollywood. This satire of indie satires believe it or not ends in a quirky murder. Come on, nobody likes movies about making movies. Honestly, I could have done with seeing the puss filled zit of the actress pop, sqirt all over the wall, and the filmakers get all excited calling it the money shot. I would liked... This was too tame to make it's point. What are you trying to get played on TV? If you go all the way I know several festivals that would play this film. As it is I must say it's unremarkable. read

  This film was funny - an introspective, entertaining look at the world of indie filmmaking. Many of us can certainly relate to the frustrating experiences of the 2 main characters. Great characters, especially the co-producer dude. The only criticism I'd have is perhaps it was a little too long. Otherwise, great job, I can't wait to see more.

  Good performances in this spoof of the indie slacker filmmaker. I completely believed the actress in the green. And loved the jump cuts with her. The bit with the blemish on the face was great. The camera work and lighting were good and loved seeing the set. Also would really like to know how you made that dollie with the PVC pipe. I went back frame by frame but just couldn't...   This movie was made for random and abject criticism. It gives us a look behind the making of an awful film using the 48hr festival as the template for what's going on. I found the intv inserts a little inconsisent with the rest of the movie and really, the only thing wrong with it is it's length. The jokes are solid, but there seems to be a lot of time wasted filling in between... This movie was made for random and abject criticism. The jokes are solid, but there seems to be a lot of time wasted filling in between the gags....and thusly the pacing almost hurts.Really though...there are some great moments hiding in here and it's worth a look, especially to anyone that has done the 48hr grind. read

  I can appreciate all the difficulties the 'no-budget' filmmmaker goes through having worked on such things myself and I think it could be a great thing to satire. In my opinion though, the execution of this as a satire doesn't really work too well. I think the primary thing detracting from it was the over-acting of the 2 main guys. As a satire posing as a semi-documentary,... As a satire posing as a semi-documentary, the performances should have been a bit more sublte. Maybe if they didn't seem to be trying too hard the material would have seemed more funny. My favorite part was of the miniature car rolling down the hill and exploding, only becuase it looked so riduculous and fake (which was what you were going for). I've said in other reviews that satire is a hard thing to successfully execute and in this case it doesn't work. Technically speaking, I wasn't too wowed, but I don't think this piece allowed for any of your tech prowess to show. I guess I'd have to give "48 & 1/2" 1 & 1/2 stars, but only for effort and getting something done. Gotta pass on this one. "PASS" -CPSTAMOS 9/28/2003 read
