  As someone who's both an aspiring filmmaker and an uninspired fisher(wo)man, I had a lot of fun watching this. The character, even with the sparse dialogue supplied, held my attention and had me chuckling throughout. Great casting choice. The payoff, I thought while watching, could've been larger (...where does the hook take him?!) but curiosity kills as much as this short...   The payoff, I thought while watching, could've been larger (...where does the hook take him?!) but curiosity kills as much as this short does (literally and figuratively).
  
  Lit and shot well with only necessary elements included, I thoroughly enjoyed this itty bitty flick about a little fishy and the man caught by karma. Nice work. read

  i have seen this movie several times...not this movie exactely..but a version of the same story. one version had Ewan Mcgregor eating an eclair on the beach. So no points for originality. techniquilly the film was fine. the opening shot was very good looking and the rest of the film looked fairly good.   techniquilly the film was fine. the opening shot was very good looking and the rest of the film looked fairly good. The gold reflective board may have been a bit much - but no matter. good choice of shots and edited well.
  
  character wise: i didnt understand why he would have water in his sandwich....much less litter it at the pond. aren't fishermen suppose to keep their areas clean...maybe i dont know enough fishermen.

  The opening shot of this film looked phenomenal, what an amazing location. The acting, and direction were simple but helped lull the audience into the world of fishing. However the end, for me, was too predicatable as soon as your saw the apple, you just knew how it would end. Considering that it was the big pay off it brought down the rest of the film.   Considering that it was the big pay off it brought down the rest of the film. Not much else to say, the plot was pretty fine... not much happened until you got to the end. What I will say is, I did really feel for the fish by an extension of the bloke. I felt bad for it once it was hooked and displayed, but in my mind going through what the fisherman could do to avoid his fate, I felt more sorry for the animal knowing there was nothing he could do. I'm not sure if this was your intention, but it did have this effect on me, which was a plus. read

  Fabulous! I loved this short. It was just the kind of Twilight Zone piece that I hoped it would be. As I was watching the cruelty of the Fisherman hooking the worm and the small fish, I started thinking about how cool it would be if somebody did a movie putting us humans in that position--literally--and just as I was having this thought, your film went there. Kudos! Nice cinematography... Fabulous! I loved this short. It was just the kind of Twilight Zone piece that I hoped it would be.   A good story, with a good twist. A nice reminder to us humans. Well done, good cinematography, good music. And the acting is good, too! What a nice little piece. The question is: what would happen if people would watch movies like this at the rate they watcg action movies.

  Looks wise it was good. Film is awesome. The music was good. I even would go so far as to say your actors was good. I am just not convinced that this piece was all that effective. I was happy to see a comedy finally show up in my assignment list, but this was a bit like that corny joke your mate tells everytime he is drunk. It was chuckle-worthy, but not all that memorable...   Intriguing, if a little slow

  I think "A Little Fishy" could be a shorter film, because we sit waiting for too long before something happens. Yet, when the plot really kicks in, it is interesting and intriguing, if not superbly original. The Photography is really good, the movie is beautifully shot. All in all, an interesting piece, that could use a little better pacing.

  Great opening shot, so beautiful. I almost thought it was animated. The lighting and the audio is really nice. The camerawork is just wonderful. The edits are flawless. The acting is fine and the guy is interesting to watch. The premise is hilarious. The guy being reeled in? under? by whatever in the lake was great. Continued Success!

  I had to watch this in low-quality Quicktime, due to slow connection speeds for me today. But that's my problem.The opening shot gives a good sense of forboding, and I knew the (human) fisherman was doomed. I would have felt ripped of if he wasn't!But, instead of the somewhat-expected slasher, we get the Fish Avenger ... nice. Unless the fish actually wanted to eat the guy,... I had to watch this in low-quality Quicktime, due to slow connection speeds for me today.
