  This is a fun, quick, well written film. Sound quality was excellent. Set, too small, but looked like a real desk in a large office setting. All of the stuff on the desk, especially the sweets, were distracting. I don't know anyone who puts a coffee cup on top of electronics. If they do, they will eventually regret it. Casting was good.   Casting was good. The girl was really cute. If I were directing I would have dressed her more and more seductively as the week went on from glasses and turtle neck sweater with hair in a bun on Monday gradually getting more sexy as the week went on. By weeks end the top is low cut, perhaps a little bra strap showing and the glasses are gone and she makes a point of swinging her hair at every chance. She sits on the corner of the desk, almost falls off, he touched her bare knee to save her. The sexual tension rises... he sweats, he retreats to the corner of the wall but she keeps going at him, why, why, why...
  
  I really enjoyed the film. This is well written, directed, acted, and edited. Bravo! read

  I have seen to many times where people think because someone likes a bunch of their pictures, the person has stalker potential or they think it is weird. Most of the time that is involving a guy doing it to a girl. It makes it especially awkward if they work together and that happens. What a great way to put a scenario out there like that and say how some women feel and some...   Funny :) I thought this was nicely done... not spectacular but cute. The story was well staged and paced, the actors did a great job and it was filled with these little details that give a short just that bit extra that make it pleasant to look at. For example, I loved how the guy removed his glasses and put them down before telling her he liked her and that the setting was... Funny :)

For example, I loved how the guy removed his glasses and put them down before telling her he liked her and that the setting was just a bit different every day. I noticed the yummy looking pastries! Together with the chemistry between the actors, I thought that really made the office mood.
  
  Technically I thought it was fine, except that the sound could have been worked a bit more. There's some reverb and some weird sounds in the back, which could be camera working sounds... or anything really! You could have replaced that with some office sounds, to give it more an impression that they were working in a larger room.
  
  To move to composition and photography - photography was well done. Shot composition I'm not sure. I like the simplicity of the short very much, and the one shot type idea works extremely well for the format you picked. However, I'm always in favor of diversity: some close-ups would have worked well considering how expressive your actors worked. It might also have put a bit more focus on those details you worked out... I refer to the glasses I mentioned earlier. But in general I thought you made a good choice by only using one shot type.
  
  All in all, I loved it and with a bit of tweaking it could be excellent. Look forward to seeing more! read

  This Guy Is Sooo Predictable

  I had to laugh at the pompous attitude this guy has,....do all british men sooo analytical(sp)? There was a jump cut and a couple of other editing problems,....but the young lady is this film is hysterical,....the young man,..mot so much. How many different ways could she tell him, she WAS NOT interested in him, like he is to her,.....that back and forth was funny, she knows... I had to laugh at the pompous attitude this guy has,....do all british men sooo analytical(sp)?   I saw this as more of a well-thought out sketch than a short film but regardless of 'what' it is I very much enjoyed it. It was funny, well-scripted, well-acted and highlighted many of the problems involved in the initial stages of all relationships. My only slight criticism would be that the female actor tripped over some lines and the background office noise seemed a little...   Apart from that this is the best film I have seen on trigger labs and it left me feeling pleasantly surprised. read

  A Week in the Office doesn't offer much visually, as the setting is simply a camera on sticks, but what it lacks in cinematography, it makes up for in acting, as this short is strong because both actors are really good with the dialogue on each day depicted in this short film. It's not easy to articulate in a short period of time a man and a woman's relationship, or the foreshadowing... A Week in the Office doesn't offer much visually, as the setting is simply a camera on sticks, but what it lacks in cinematography, it makes up for in acting, as this short is strong because both actors are really good with the dialogue on each day depicted in this short film.
  
  It's not easy to articulate in a short period of time a man and a woman's relationship, or the foreshadowing of whether it'll work or not between them, but this short does a good job doing so.
  
  Two thumbs for A Week in the Office.

  I really enjoyed this film. The dialogue reminded me of Woody Allen’s scenes where he goes off on a rant when talking to another person. It also reminded me of the scene from "When Harry Met Sally", when they are in the car and he is talking about death and Sally is talking is listening to him go on. The dialogue was good and I enjoyed the answer “because of the composition”...

  Basic office chit chat that may turn into something, but who knows. I found some of your oberservations interesting and the overall feel reminded me of the British office. I guess how things turned out on the date will have to come in episode 2. Maybe a quick shot of one of her complaints coming to fruition during the date would have made it feel more complete.   My only real complaint concerns production. Most of the sound (voices) came out of my left speaker. That was a bit disctracting when the person on the right of the screen was speaking.

  Like most of the British flicks on this site the dialogue is excellent and the actors deliver the lines very well. They seemed like real people having a real conversation. But the visuals in this one are static and uninteresting. I know you were constrained by the premise of the story (over a week in an office) and by your location (pretending the corner of someone's flat...   I feel you should have cut in for some medium shots or even a few close ups.
  
  You composition pulled me out of the story.

  I liked A Week In The Office for several reasons. It had strong production values, well lit, filmed simply, therefore keeping strong and decent cinematography throughout, which of course also allows for simple editing. The dialogue was great, it was sharp, funny, flirtatious, although evading the main tension and attraction between the two characters for long enough, so the... I liked A Week In The Office for several reasons. It had strong production values, well lit, filmed simply, therefore keeping strong and decent cinematography throughout, which of course also allows for simple editing. The dialogue was great, it was sharp, funny, flirtatious, although evading the main tension and attraction between the two characters for long enough, so the story was able to develop well. Great idea of one location throughout, it's cost effective, it allows the story to flow by concentrating solely on that and of course it gives an open ending, allowing the viewer to develop their own ideas on what has gone on through Facebook, before the film and afterwards. It was also well acted, the characters played their parts well and the great thing is, when it is combined with all the above aspects I mentioned, draws you into their blossoming relationship. read
