  I watched this twice because there was something of an indistinct glimpse, something alluded to, in a way that I found worthy of a second view. On the surface it was exactly as described, two men discussing their fathers, like any other idle "at work" conversation, until I saw the condition of the standing character. Now I'm pulled in, he's obviously shot, two visible wounds,... I watched this twice because there was something of an indistinct glimpse, something alluded to, in a way that I found worthy of a second view. On the surface it was exactly as described, two men discussing their fathers, like any other idle "at work" conversation, until I saw the condition of the standing character. Now I'm pulled in, he's obviously shot, two visible wounds, and otherwise seemingly unaffected, almost everyday-mundane, until his final line, said like an out-loud thought, a last dying utterance. Clearly the glimpse is of a story that is larger, one that I want to see more of, a longer and deeper view. I see this film as metaphorical, a kind of surreal visual poetry. The first character is obviously an assassin. The relationship between him and his targets is particularly unique among the range of human interactions, and very likely the second is his most recent victim. The "conversation" in his mind is the one he wants to have. He wants to know these real people he is being paid to dispatch, know their thoughts, feelings, something of their lives, at least he is starting to think he does. Maybe he is losing his professional objectivity, his necessary detachment, and possibly I am completely off base. But, if so, that is why I like this, it could go so many ways, and there is power and potential in that. read

  I like this film. Two guys in battle reminiscing about old times. Telling stories about youth and forgotten memories. Something which can't be taken away from us, especially in a time of confusion and horror. The film-maker did a nice job with camera work. Actors were okay. I'd watch another film from them.

  A good film. I liked the two guys discussing mundane subjects like the fathers, while they are obviously in a life and death situation. The more they duscuss the mundane the more dangerous the situation must be, since not once did they talk about what brought them to this situation. The other thing that I really liked was how we found out the other man was mortally wounded... A good film.   My kind of story

  I really like All Those Little Things. A tense situation where the banality of a discussion takes on a new meaning. I love the intensity of the shooter. I love his impassive gaze that filters a slight trickle of emotion ... at the right time. We do not choose our time to die any more than what comes in mind before leaving. Great job!

  I'm quite surprised to see this as a finalist short film. To begin with if these men were spec ops, then why is one of them overweight? I've never seen an overweight warrior. Now the conversations they have, where they begin to talk about their parents came at a time of their peril, it felt incomplete, I mean they remember such things, but so what? There's hardly any resonance... I'm quite surprised to see this as a finalist short film. To begin with if these men were spec ops, then why is one of them overweight?   The production quality on this film was excellent. The picture and sound clarity was way above average and your close-up shots were done very well! The plot is fairly simple and yet somewhat profound. At the end of people's lives is usually when they start to reflect on the little things that may have influenced who they are so I get the underlying message of the movie. Overall,... The production quality on this film was excellent. The picture and sound clarity was way above average and your close-up shots were done very well!

  This is excellent writing, from beginning to end, yet I feel the directing doesn‘t quite do it justice. To me, the guy with the gun just stares into space, instead of really seeing a war scene. I liked the actor who played the wounded guy a lot, he had a very warm quality. Too bad the blood looked a bit fake (reminded me of beet juice, hehe). Still, it‘s better than many of...   I think Taj did a great job here. I was glued to the story. "All Those Little Things" the title fit the story perfectly. I like how the guy who died didn't show he was hurt right away. That added another step up the story. I'd love to know what kind of camera was used here, I thought the quality was really good. The close ups made it intimate and the actors were on point. The...   I think this film was trying to convey a sense of what it is that matters when death comes calling. For this soldier it was childhood memories, relationships, the little details (I felt that the ladybird was reinforcing the significance of the small). The actors understood that stillness was required for the piece and the shooting, audio and editing were all done well too... I think this film was trying to convey a sense of what it is that matters when death comes calling.   The actors understood that stillness was required for the piece and the shooting, audio and editing were all done well too. I was less convinced by the gun shot wound and the fake blood, I wasn't quite sure how they were killing him, unless there was meant to be a larger wound out of shot. Also some kind of filter or effect in post production might have made the war zone location feel a bit more realistic.
  
  Overall it was an enjoyable piece of pathos. Well done. read

  Your short film was very good in my opinion. The shots that were selected were perfect. I also really liked the silence of the moment. The small bursts of fire in the background, the breathing of the two men and the over all mood behind every shot was flawless. I must say that I honestly like this short very much. Fantastic Job.
