  Brown Rice is a nice evaluation of the pitfalls of flirting, dating and getting intimate with the opposite (or same in my case) sex. As a veteran of numerous successes (and failures) I can say with great delight that I have learned nothing... ! Do you ever? Or is it all just a matter of chemical serendipity?

  kind of funny. kind of creative. richard linklater's 'waking life' meets ... mystery science theater? the narrator speaks often first person, which is a turn-off. there's one scene when the female character is walking and tho she is barefooted, it sounds like she has heels on? this guy's character may have to grow on me ..

  Your attempt of using the sims for your movie was a nice touch and kinda creative with the voice over. all tho there is somewhat of a comedic sense to the nature of your film. The film lacked story and direction. The music with the setting and atmosphere blended well however your script language was very bland and the depth of characterisation and background was lacking.

  Generic animation and generic storyline with of course a generic voice over. If you're going to give us an animation don't do it with a generic animating software like Moviestorn or some other program. The same with the story. Put some time into developing a storyline. It probably took more time to watch the film then it did to think up the plot of this flick... Generic animation and generic storyline with of course a generic voice over.

  Interesting, not at all what I expected. I was not clear if this was an actual animation put together by the author or a video game with the author filling in the dialogue. I could see this being a 'one of many' type video showing the charactor in all kinds of unrelated, short, situations. Having several of that type might make it a bit funnier in that you would start to... Interesting, not at all what I expected.   It may be that I do not understand the authors sense of humor.

  This felt like a reflection on the filmmaker's younger days; a date with with a chick that he didn't screw up somehow. I recognized the animation style from his previous films, but all in all a decent effort. What I liked most is that it told a complete basic story. Boy meets girl. Boy almost loses girl. Girl forgives boy in the end. If you haven't already tried, I'd like... This felt like a reflection on the filmmaker's younger days; a date with with a chick that he didn't screw up somehow.   If you haven't already tried, I'd like to see one of your films with hired actors. Take one of your uniquely personal stories and hop into the director's chair. I bet it comes out pretty good.

  I am not sure what you used to make these images. They were suitable I guess. I found this very short on story. I can see this working with the lack of story but I felt it would have to be much more witty to make it work well. Then again, it wasn't boring just not exceptional. I've seen several of your other films and have had the same 'blah' reaction to most of them,... I am not sure what you used to make these images. They were suitable I guess.

  I've seen several of your other films and have had the same 'blah' reaction to most of them, but some I did see a lot of talent and "potential".
  
  I think perhaps you should become less prolific and really pour all your efforts into making a feature. And to take a lot of time on it. I think you have talent but are rushing your product and in the process not utilizing all the skills you have that take longer to draw out and add depth to your creations. read

  It was amazing between the choice of music and visual characterizations just how "connected" these two animated actors were. i believed their chemistry and found the developing romance quite believable. Shocking to care about cartoon characters but I did which I attribute to the narration by Elmer himself. His voice-over really helped sell the piece. I was slightly nervous...   While I respect anyone who decides to go out and make a film, I am not really sure how I feel about this film. On one hand I found the film humorous (and was proud of myself that I actually got the jokes) On the other hand though, I wasn't thrilled about the CG or the voice acting (I should note that I despise CGI and think it should only be used to slightly enhance small... While I respect anyone who decides to go out and make a film, I am not really sure how I feel about this film.

  I think this film could have really benefitted from being in-camera and not screen captures from the "second life"
  Anything, would have looked better than the CG effects, even filmed on a smartphone camera (which are actually pretty decent these days) would have been better
  
  While I did find the jokes humorous, the CG and voice acting really deterred me from enjoying this film. read

  I believe this film was pointless. It revolved around one joke which was racist and not even funny. Also the music was too loud and over shadowed the dialogue. The animation was not that bad if it was done by an amateur. If it wasn't then it could have been better. It reminded me of the Sims, but since I haven't seen that game in over five years I can't really say if it was... I believe this film was pointless. But either way keep making films if that is what you like to do. Next time try and do something with a little story with it and it might be a little better. read
