• This no-budget (believe it or not) film was shot using a Digital8 camcorder. The actress actually got a sweatpants and a black hat for her role. A bonus was that the actual makeup was done by herself as she was trained in a makeup class at the local community college. Originally, the interview was supposed to be outside, but due to the hot weather, the interview was done first indoors and then we did the mime bits for the b-roll. INSPIRATION: I was truly inspired by an article about a Denver mime wanting to create an awareness campaign. For the role of Cassandra, it took me about a month's research by actually interviewing professional mime artists in getting to know what it's like being a professional artist. I try to make this film non-stereotypical in many ways from the mannerisms to the attitudes that mainstream culture has on the art of busking as well as mime itself.
• Bio: Originally from Boston, I've loved to tell stories through the medium of film and television. I have written a few scripts as well as directed a autobiographical film about my family entitled "Bloodline Nicolas" and "Struggle and Deliverance." These two films tell much about us being the 1st Generation Haitians living in the United States.
