  Fresh and warm with sharp dialogue

  Kinda like a youthful Seinfeld, this film had me smiling plenty and enjoying the witty exchanges. The characters were all engaging, realistic and relateable - with Adam being a really standout. The plot circumstances hooked us in early, has some enjoyable twists and turns in the short timeframe, and a nice ending. The cinematography was strong and well composed, and the... Kinda like a youthful Seinfeld, this film had me smiling plenty and enjoying the witty exchanges.
  
  The characters were all engaging, realistic and relateable - with Adam being a really standout.
  
  The plot circumstances hooked us in early, has some enjoyable twists and turns in the short timeframe, and a nice ending.
  
  The cinematography was strong and well composed, and the score was a good match to the film.
  
  The dialogue was excellent - loved the little things, almost a bit Tarantino-esque....the reference to Springsteen, the knee jumping.
  
  Overall this was an excellent short film that left me the better for having seen it and wanting to see more like it. Well done! read

  Crazy Love is an enjoyable short film from start to finish, as it showcases what many singles in life go through to find that right one person to spend their life with hopefully. The ups and downs showcased in this film were pretty funny, and the talent cast in this did a good job portraying singles trying to make the dating game work. The lead guy had a decent comedic presence,... The ups and downs showcased in this film were pretty funny, and the talent cast in this did a good job portraying singles trying to make the dating game work.
  
  The lead guy had a decent comedic presence, and the lead girl is gorgeous and did a great job as well acting in the film.
  
  Solid directing and editing, and overall a good little short film.

  Not so crazy in love

  Mmmm what to add to a 4 year old submission with over 50 reviews... Dating is so hard sometimes. I thought the story was rather straightforward, with a few cool details. The 'crazy' aspects of the girls were creative, specially the first one. However, I thought it was a bit cheap that the second girl was 'foreign', and that she suddenly gained a french accent halfway the movie... Mmmm what to add to a 4 year old submission with over 50 reviews...
  
  Dating is so hard sometimes. I thought the story was rather straightforward, with a few cool details. The 'crazy' aspects of the girls were creative, specially the first one. However, I thought it was a bit cheap that the second girl was 'foreign', and that she suddenly gained a french accent halfway the movie. I'm from Belgium, and sometimes I find it a bit tiring how non-americans are shown in movies... or non-english-speaking. The actors all did an excellent job, and I liked how they were all dressed for a probably cold season.
  
  Technically I thought it was okay, but with nothing novel and a few things that could have gone better. I really like the shot from below the bunkbed. That was unexpected! You used a lot of contrashots, which is fine... however, in some dialogues you -only- used contrashots, like when the two girls talk about dating weirdo's. Maybe I missed it, but I think you should show the speakers together in at least one shot.
  
  Also, I would have raised the colors a bit more. At a certain point they're walking through this beautiful park with the trees in autumn state, but the colors appear bland and uninteresting.
  
  All in all though I thought it made up a good comedy / romance story. read

  Loved it. It fas funny, had good elements of a romantic comedy. Just one comment:I wasn't drawn into the movie from the begining. This was a major bump. It took like 2 minutes to settle the feeling that this wasn't a documentary but a movie. Also some of the dialogue needs work or the actors felt a bit reserved toward the lines they were saying. That's it. Funy, good, can be... Loved it. It fas funny, had good elements of a romantic comedy.

  This is a pretty classic love story: boy meets girl, boy loses girl, boy regains girl. The story is good but could be better with a slightly faster rhythm. It’s a good short film but, in my opinion, a little soft. I prefer the stories with more irony. In summary, a mash-up between Woody Allen and “Friends”

  This really seemed like one of those short that was really about capturing a real life moment in time. I felt it did that, and was fun. Some of the camera angle were a little jarring (mainly a couple over the shoulder shots where the guys head/hair looked like it was some kind of taxidermy sharing screen time, sorry I'm pretty high right now and that was a thought that crossed...   there were alotta good points with this film. The acting was believable and the pace was very good. I felt the story needed a little work. The writing just didn't seem all that convincing. Also, the camera could have should a little more work. The lighting seemed a little flat.

  Having been away from Triggerstreet for a while, this was a welcome treat, and a shining example about what is so right about this site. While the nuts and bolts could use a little polish from a technical standpoint, I loved the story and the concept. Given the limited length, I thought it was played out wonderfully. I was particularly tickled by the concept of the "Yikes"... Having been away from Triggerstreet for a while, this was a welcome treat, and a shining example about what is so right about this site.   Given the limited length, I thought it was played out wonderfully. I was particularly tickled by the concept of the "Yikes" girl, for lack of a better description. Even the acting wasn't bad. I only mention this because I've become used to fairly bad acting in some of the pieces I've seen on here.
  
  The music and sound were both very good, and I liked some of the camera angles that were explored. I am a bit puzzled by the high number of close ups used. I think several shots would have worked either as well or better if they were not close ups.
  
  All in all, this was solid, and I can see why it was a spotlight submission. Bravo! read

  The story of Crazy Love is one we can all relate to: looking for love in a sea of the insane. This task is hard enough without adding the element of New York City. The story of the two protagonists was cute, my only criticism would have to be in the subtlety. Everybody can remember a "crazy" boyfriend of girlfriend they've had in the past, so it is an easy topic to joke about... The story of Crazy Love is one we can all relate to: looking for love in a sea of the insane. This task is hard enough without adding the element of New York City. The story of the two protagonists was cute, my only criticism would have to be in the subtlety. Everybody can remember a "crazy" boyfriend of girlfriend they've had in the past, so it is an easy topic to joke about. However, you can do so without having a girl literally screaming and running around on a subway or having a girl beat you up and kick you off of a bunk-bed. I think a more realistic, based off of personal events, character choice would have been a better path to take. read

  It's hard to say why some short films don't work -- it's an imperfect art. As a fillmaker myself, I always symptathize with anyone trying to make it: it's rough, brutal and the fun is lost when the light is dying in the far corner of the city. No less, I felt like this short just didn't quite work. The editing didn't really move the story along and I truly felt like the story...
