  I got this assignment and I was like, "Oh hey! I already seen this!" Yeah I liked this film a lot. Honestly I don't really have anything to add. Acting is good, sound is nice, the story is what really sells it. Has a bit of a mystery even though it's so short. Very well done piece. It's short and too the point. Like to see something longer from you. - David

  I honestly before watching had my doubts about whether a 1 minute short film could get a message across or not,but I was definitely proven wrong watching this! I felt it conveyed a message that was so powerful in such a short amount of time. It is definitely something that made me think and feel others should watch it as well to maybe do some thinking before it is to late...   Beautiful piece. I loved the story, very sad and hit home at the same time. I loved when the man turned to look at the measuring tape in the door way and remembered his childhood of being measured before dying, wonderful moment. Your actors were fantastic. I wasn't sure why the first few shots were so 'hand held' and the cuts to black also seemed unnecessary. Why was the man... Beautiful piece. I loved the story, very sad and hit home at the same time. I loved when the man turned to look at the measuring tape in the door way and remembered his childhood of being measured before dying, wonderful moment. Your actors were fantastic. I wasn't sure why the first few shots were so 'hand held' and the cuts to black also seemed unnecessary. Why was the man holding a broken glass bottle? Was he maybe trying to steal the bottle or was he holding up the convenience store? Just a few things I was unclear on but overall great job. read

  the film has a quite interesting drama to it. first the glass breaking, the shope keeper putting down his gun and latter the showing of blood on the tshirt. portraits the suspense it created. Showing of the child was kind of out of the place..not so sure why the director choose it. i guess probably time was a constraint to show the child expectation. could have convened the... the film has a quite interesting drama to it. first the glass breaking, the shope keeper putting down his gun and latter the showing of blood on the tshirt. portraits the suspense it created.   A really short short

  Although some of the story is the subtext. I found this film needed more developing. It was a little too short It left me wanting to know what exactly did I see. What was the point of the hold up actor remembering his height taken by a parent. It implies we all have childhoods and we all had parents and apparently the stickup character had a "happy" one from what we saw... Although some of the story is the subtext.   Maybe a little more time should have been spent developing his character. read

  I assume this is a trailer for a longer film? For a short trailer you picked, I believe, a good scene. It shows what the movie is about without showing all of (and only) the good scenes. The pace is nice too. I guess it's classic for a robbery scene, but I like how you started with showing the shopkeeper, then moving on to the robber. You made the effect with the sound work...   You made the effect with the sound work very nicely. Sound is so important... you made it work very well, and the effects were well done and appropriate too! The one moment where the effect failed, was in the first shot of the shopkeeper: it wasn't clear to me alltogether that he was talking or trying to get a point across. It just seemed a very odd moment when I saw it first. Maybe the actor needs to overact a bit, or you need to let little bits of sound through? I do think because it's a trailer, people need to understand from the first second what's going on.
  
  Shots where well chosen and well cut in general, with good composition. One shot I would have added, maybe even at the start of the trailer, is a shot of the wound and / or a clear close-up of the gun of the shopkeeper, to inform the viewer very early on what's going on. After all, the climax of the movie is not the realization that the robber got shot by the shopkeeper, but the memory. For me the suspense is created when you see the memory, hear the sirens and sympathize with the robber, hoping that he'll be okay. That's the point that the movie becomes more than a robbery, which is after nothing more than a fait divers.
  
  I recommended it. Good job and good luck with the movie. read
