  The girl in red the actual 'girl' was cast very nicely, the lighting in those shots quite effective. Honestly quite enjoyable as a short film that did not try to be a feature. Twist of fate was good, and the CG was not too bad at all. The female lead was nice, but the guy sorry to say the acting was not very good there. Very 'wooden' performance as they say. Possibly the only weak point of the film for me. Poor guy, he should have asked for a trillion dollars then had his girlfriend and the guy killed. You can buy the supreme court with that kinda money. read

  Girl in Red was a good piece. I forget exactly what the philosophical dilemma is called by there is a story that I think heavily influenced "Girl in Red." The story goes, "You wake up in a room. A man tells you that you can either leave or push a button and kill someone and then leave. If you push the button you will be given a suit case of $10 million dollars. And the person...   The story goes, "You wake up in a room. A man tells you that you can either leave or push a button and kill someone and then leave. If you push the button you will be given a suit case of $10 million dollars. And the person will be one of the billions of people on earth." In the end you find out that you were in purgatory and the man was the Tester testing to see if you deserve to go to Heaven or Hell. If you just decide to leave then you go to Heaven but if you decide to push the button and kill a random person then a random person dies, you get the suitcase of money but after that you go to Hell.
  
  
  This all to say that creatively speaking, Girl in Red offered nothing new. It was an old idea re-imagined. But then again hasn't every story already been told?
  
  That's only one negative of the film.
  
  I thought the acting was lousy and the dialogue felt contrived.
  
  The look of everything was great though. For some reason the Girl in Red scared the hell out of me.
  
  I felt it was a really cool perversion of Little Red Riding Hood and it worked really nicely.
  
  I pictured the Girl in Red to be an old woman but having her being an Asian woman was nicely unexpected.
  
  I gave it high 6 out of 10. It shows promise. read

  This film has some nice moments but falls short overall because of bad acting and obvious ADR in the beginning. I think it could be tightened into five minutes or less by removing some of the bad acting/writing. I cannot stand the line "I really loved her." Don't be afraid to use a little subtext and have faith the audience will get it. The twist at the end is nice and I... The car crashes are somewhat believable, especially considering this is a short not a huge blockbuster with a 100 million dollar budget. Overall I would rate this about a 5/10. read

  While I enjoyed the twist of fate at the end of the film, I couldn't help but think I've seen this film before. And indeed I have. It was on a dvd of short films I bought at Christmas - Dark Tales of Japan. Sadly, neither one managed to scare me.

  Interesting concept and the woman in red is suitably creepy but, the ending doesn't make that much sense. him dying doesnt make him never meet the girl, hes just dead. some of the effects work looks quite nice but some is a bit dodgy. I understand that creating relistic looking explotions on a budget can be tough, but bad use effects usually distracts from the film rather than... The car impacts looked ok, but it was then ruined by a shoddy explotion. the acting was nice but i thought the scrip was a bit clunky in places.   First of all the actors are great. I am not sure why still shots were picked to tell the story, however, I like this version of be careful what you wish for. Maybe you could add some more visuals to this, maybe more slides or some action interspersed with the stills. Then the story visually would be on par with the sound track and story telling.

  The photography was good....but then there was hardly a plot and so no conclusion. Why should the story be always based on the cheating incidences in a relationship? This time it was the girl cheating on the guy. The sound effect was great and appropriate. The actress did not convey the emotions through her speech...and the actor was too self absorbed.

  Girl in Red by Ron Small The film was okay, I think the acting was sub-par, but the photography was great. The twist at the end was incredible and made the whole thing worth it. I liked it. Nice job, Mr. Small. Uh, so I have to make 50 words minimum. Okay, I think this makes 50.

  Not a bad film. The plot was good but I found the story to be a bit typical for this sort of film. There were a lot of nice ideas used in the film - I can tell you put a lot of thought in the plot and direction. I had a bit of trouble making out some of the dialog in the beginning - the sound could do with a bit of a touch up in places. Overall it was a fun film to watch... Not a bad film. The plot was good but I found the story to be a bit typical for this sort of film. There were a lot of nice ideas used in the film - I can tell you put a lot of thought in the plot and direction.   explosions are always nice to see. Also spooky women in red. The acting was okay, the story a bit, (just a bit) too big for the short film. Nice ironic twist. Filming well done, except on the explosions. -a bit far away. Caused the explosion to lose impact. Probably much better on a larger screen. But there was nothing original here really. And because it comes off so quickly, it does seem a bit contrived. Some of the dialog could use some realism to keep my belief flowing. Ordinary things often need to counterbalance Extraordinary things in story lines so that we can believe it is possible. If it is possible, that means it is even more extraordinary. This is hard to do with a short film, however all the more important. Good luck to you in your future endeavors. I have a feeling this is not the last we shall see. read
