  Got one! was funny. I loved the cruel police angle, for that's become a sad comment upon our society in general, where officers of the law are despicable. I didn't quite understand why the arresting officer thought the afflicted officer was an impersonator, perhaps one more scene to demonstrate the extent of the e.t.'s powers is needed. The only negative comment I have is the shadows, the grey ones inside the station, were good. Added an additonal perceptual dimension. But, at one point, a BLACK shadow was cast upon the background, making it appear to be a stage-panel, a painting of the world. It spoiled the illusion and made me wonder why the shadows were not consistent. : ) read

  This is an entertaining little puppetry/animation film by our favorite down under team. I have seen it before, but must have been out of review options that day or something. I really like this piece, though it seems a little dull in some spots. Not dull story wise, but the picture itself seems to have some dull spots. Nothing that the overall piece doesn't rise above however... This is an entertaining little puppetry/animation film by our favorite down under team.   I found this piece funny and entertaining. I have always been a fan of 2D imagery on screen when it is done well. The story and plot was engaging and laughed a couple of time throught out. The look and contrast of the film for me seemed to go very well with the emotional levels in the film also

  Overall I thought it was a clever short. I thought it was well shot, the style of the film worked well with the story. I've never really been one to watch a lot of animation, nor film any, but overall I didn't have any big complaints about this one. Keep it up, experience is key.

  I really liked how different you made this look. The music and the shots meshed together perfectly to make me forget that this were all "cartoonish" drawn characters. Very nicely done. Story was interesting and well twisted. I'd like to see a sequel to this one.

  I really like the look of this animation/puppetry style. I've watched one or two of these shorts from tom priestley before and they are twisted and evil like Vader. Funny dark humor wrapped in good production value. The audio and score are aptly made and timed. Check this out for sure.

  Pretty insiduous for a comedy, but I liked it. It was a little unsophisticated at times: painting the inmate as a large black male bent on raping the old fat white guy. Played easily on stereotypes fulfilling the fears/fantasies of suburban white boys. But the execution was fun and a bit more well produced than earlier work by this artist. Music was a perfect fit, animation... Pretty insiduous for a comedy, but I liked it.   I liked the story and how the two police characters were developed. The film had a good sense of ambiguity - just enough to make me wonder what was going on, but then explained it in the end. I enjoyed the dry humour throughout the film but didn't laugh at the ending. It was to extreme for my taste and didn't quite fit with the quirkyness throughout the film. I thought...   This little film was a bit fragmented in its message which would make sense if it is part a series. I enjoyed the animation but wondered why the lead character and officer was the way he was. This short film was politically loaded which made for some a sharp commentary on todays fear of everything different and unknown but I felt that it lacked the follow through and did...   What a great animation. The story is a great blend of sci-fi and comedy. I did feel bad for the poor corn-holed cop at the end though. What worked about the short was the perfect blend of nice animation with good music. The music helped the film along. Even though the animation was too complex, the shots were perfect and movie-like.
