  I had to watch this film twice. It was a little deep for me. So I take it that she dumped the guy after their date?? Not sure what the overall meaning was but the cinematography was good. I also liked the music. I was trying to listen to see if the music was saying something that we should see in the film. I was looking for more revelation. Maybe some people got it but... Maybe some people got it but it just went over my head. But keep up the good work though. That's the beauty of independent film. We're able to tell the stories we want to make. read

  looking like it's time to move on for this male character, but he's still in love w/blondie. and she may be confusing him, burning his loveletter, bringing him water, caring and not caring at the same time. it wasn't a "short" film. it was more like a "ort". supershort. shorter than short. i like that. it was some pretty images and a tragically sound song..... looking like it's time to move on for this male character, but he's still in love w/blondie. and she may be confusing him, burning his loveletter, bringing him water, caring and not caring at the same time.

  Beautiful short, but falls short of synopsis.

  This is a beautiful short film. However, the beauty does not hide the lack of differing perceptions of love. In this film, we have one character who will not say, “I love you” for some unknown reason. Conversely, we have a character expressing their love through letters. There are truly no perceptions of love in this film, however. Although there are letters, we do not see... This is a beautiful short film. Although there are letters, we do not see any reason why the woman is declining or refusing to say I love you. Overall, I think this is a beautiful short, but it falls short of fulfilling the synopsis. read

  For a while, I was struggling to figure out what was going on in the film. I knew it was well shot and composed, but the story was evading me. Once I saw the burning letter juxtaposed against the beach scene, though, I figured it out. Well done on not making it too obvious right away. However, I'm not sure the bookending worked for you as well as it could have. Because the... For a while, I was struggling to figure out what was going on in the film. Well done on not making it too obvious right away. However, I'm not sure the bookending worked for you as well as it could have. Because the plot moved so quick, it might be better to make the story completely linear from beginning to end. Also, due to the short nature of the film, it could be worth playing with interesting ways to transition between scenes/time--the hard cuts were jarring from time to time.
  
  Overall, though, it was a nice piece that came to a satisfying conclusion. read

  A short but visually rich experience, crisp and well executed filmmaking with a good pace and some great acting. Not to detract from its elegant simplicity, which I believe is its greatest strength, I was left wanting to see just a little more, but I suppose that's a good feeling for the audience to be left with.

  This is a lovely piece, a gentle music video for a beautiful song. Loved everything about it with only the exception of a couple of muddy shots which have become the hallmark of dslr videos. Guernica is a beautiful place in Spain and it is easy to understand how it can be the inspiration of many famous works of art, and works of art of many aspiring to be famous. I really enjoyed... This is a lovely piece, a gentle music video for a beautiful song. Loved everything about it with only the exception of a couple of muddy shots which have become the hallmark of dslr videos. Guernica is a beautiful place in Spain and it is easy to understand how it can be the inspiration of many famous works of art, and works of art of many aspiring to be famous. I really enjoyed the elements drawn from the lyrics to inspire the pictures. Great work! read

  Very well done. Good lighting great choice of music, or scenes to go along with the music, which ever came first. This was also just the right length. I really appreciated how in that short amount of time you were able to tell a full story using imagery. The song helped but if you were to take the song out the story is still there. Great stuff.

  Alright, I'm gonna start with the beginning and finish with the end, in case you expected something else :). The time lapse in the beginning works well with the length of the film and adds more (serenity). You then have the opening shot of the two people, you can't see them too clearly, I know they are shown later on but you could have brought the camera closer to provide some... Also, of course, only in my opinion, you could have focused on getting every shot besides the time lapse to be really close to the actors, I know you add a couple of close-ups later on but I'm not there yet. I think having them cover most of the frame allows the audience to feel closer to them, feeling their actual love and not just getting a depiction of it, to do so you would have to play around with the camera more to get the shot you like. It seems to flow quite well, the soundtrack is good, perfect actually if you pay attention to the lyrics, I think. I feel like you're doing a good job of showing their love but I don't see the different perceptions, unless it's her perception vs. his in which case, it doesn't seem like she loves him as much as he does or even at all, but then again I might be looking into it too much, I just don't see it from her. The landscape shot is good in the end and maybe you could show his sorrow more at some point near the end but it doesn't seem like it would be a problem. It was quite good overall, it would have been better if it evoked more emotion or if it was 'clearer' but if you really want my opinion on that you could message me or something. Good job! read

  As above (▲), so below! I found this to be quite moving with an excellent song, all the more so because the music is not to my own taste yet I can recognize sincerity when I hear it, which bypasses my personal preference filters. The film quality is strong. It came across to me as more of a music video but perhaps could serve both that function and that of a short film... As above (▲), so below!   Poetic confusion

  I really enjoyed this short. It was beautifully shot. I like the fact that there was no dialogue. The acting was very expressive. And the music fit the tone perfectly. The greatest complement I can pay is that once the film ended, I wanted to watch it again. The only negative thing for me is that I don't fully understand it. I watched it three times, to try to see more... I really enjoyed this short. It was beautifully shot. I like the fact that there was no dialogue. The acting was very expressive.   The only negative thing for me is that I don't fully understand it.
  
  I watched it three times, to try to see more clearly what the story was trying to express and still am not completely clear. However this may be your intention. It certainly has a haunting poetic quality.
  
  On the first viewing, I understood that they were lovers who were separating. And that the man still wanted to be with the woman. But this feeling wasn't mutual. However the different colours of the two notes was very confusing for me.
  
  She is seen reading a blue one from a man asking them to stay together. (Presumably the same man she is meeting). Then he is seen writing an orange one. Burning it. And then giving it to her and she doesn't take it. The opening scene involving their meeting (and the acceptance of the orange note) is then reversed as a departure climax.
  
  After the third viewing, and now writing this, I am trying to make it fit together. And the experience is a little unsatisfying and frustrating as a result. If I had only watched it once I would genuinely be clueless.
  
  I assume you are fracturing the timeline?
  
  The blue note/orange note can only make sense to me if a second man (who we don't see in the story) has written it. And the guy she meets has written the orange note- which she refuses, and we never read- and he then burns it after she rejects him. The clouds changing directions and the reversal of their meeting shot is a clue. But this is me reaching. I don't know if this is fully your intention. For me, I needed to see a glimpse of a second lover, if this is what you were going for (I may be completely off base).
  
  As a result of this fracturing I was taken out of the story, because I was trying to solve a puzzle in my head, and didn't emotionally connect with the characters as I might otherwise have. Any emotional understanding came from the lyrics and music not from what I was seeing.
  
  But once again, this may indeed have been your desire!
  
  Overall I liked it a lot. Impressed that something so short can pack such a punch. And am inspired to go out and make my own shorts. Well done. read
