  Interested, well can't say much good for a monologue, the idea and the point of the plot a like, but need a little of polish, i bealive that with a little of extra work you'll have a great story, work on it, i like it and never stop the film ideas from growing in your head. me best wishes. Remember character development and lineal story.

  Very funny, offbeat humor. I got a kick out of watching your short. Very refreshing. Camerawork - what I loved most about it was the camera angles used. Some nice footage in the supermarket. I'm sure you made use of a shopping cart and used it as a glidecam, perhaps? I also like the fact that you had headshots focused on the person being spoken to, rather than the camera... Very funny, offbeat humor. I got a kick out of watching your short. Very refreshing.
  
  Camerawork - what I loved most about it was the camera angles used. Some nice footage in the supermarket. I'm sure you made use of a shopping cart and used it as a glidecam, perhaps? I also like the fact that you had headshots focused on the person being spoken to, rather than the camera being on the speaking character. Shots looked well framed and composed. One small quirk was that the colorbalance looked a bit flat.
  
  Audio/Music - I liked the low-key music playing in the background. Audio sounded good. Voiceover audio quality was okayish.
  
  Acting - very nicely done. The potato stole the show!
  
  All in all, this is pretty pretty good stuff. A nice, offbeat, lighthearted story. Thanks for the view! read

  To be honest I wasn't too keen on this film. I think that the ideas of 'vegetable loving' should have been pushed in a more extreme way - the portrayal of their relationship was pretty tame and so I think it just wasn't funny enough since it lacked the shock factor.Perhaps it was the acting which prevented it from being funny because it was a pretty cool idea, the guys just... To be honest I wasn't too keen on this film. I think that the ideas of 'vegetable loving' should have been pushed in a more extreme way - the portrayal of their relationship was pretty tame and so I think it just wasn't funny enough since it lacked the shock factor.Perhaps it was the acting which prevented it from being funny because it was a pretty cool idea, the guys just weren't giving much to their roles!I think with some faster paced editing and some tidying on the sound the piece could be made a lot funnier though. read

  this is officially the best short i've reviewed so far. it covers all the bases: it's great to look at (the grocery store scene was excellent) and the writing is very clever. The boisterous narrator is a nice surprise, and the main guy (i'm assuming that's you) did a great job. you have a great sense of comic timing. i laughed really hard on "Well, it's asexual." The only thing... this is officially the best short i've reviewed so far. it covers all the bases: it's great to look at (the grocery store scene was excellent) and the writing is very clever. The boisterous narrator is a nice surprise, and the main guy (i'm assuming that's you) did a great job. you have a great sense of comic timing. i laughed really hard on "Well, it's asexual." The only thing I worry about is how you see so many copyrighted logos in frame. you might run into some legal stuff if this played at a festival (i don't know, maybe not). But man, this was a great display of subtle comedy (which is opposite of the last short I watched, which had a guy crapping Uno cards). I look forward to seeing your next project, frogfat. read

  Nick Towery's 'Happi' was an interesting short about one of those relationships people still won't talk about. That is, passion between men and potatoes. In this case it all goes bananas, which is basically why it was so funny. I wasn't too happy at the very beginning; I found the over-acted voice over not too funny and slightly annoying. Moreover, the opening shot was, too... Nick Towery's 'Happi' was an interesting short about one of those relationships people still won't talk about. That is, passion between men and potatoes. In this case it all goes bananas, which is basically why it was so funny. I wasn't too happy at the very beginning; I found the over-acted voice over not too funny and slightly annoying. Moreover, the opening shot was, too quite annoying because of a glass reflectance. But then it got better and better. Shotwise, storywise. The conversation with his friend was the strongest moment of the short, and it really delivered well, truly funny. When he then mentioned moving 'both' to San Francisco to get married I just couldn't contain my amusement, went to the kitchen and boiled somme potatoes. We too, you know, like each other very much. Very well done. read

  At first I thought this short was going to just be horrible, the narrator sounded so bad - cheesy is the correct word. But after the story began to unfold, I realised the brilliance of this short - I really liked this. It was hilarious! The main character's eagerness to share his love for a potato was just so funny I laughed out loud. And the acting was very good - solid...   I like some of the shots in this short. The tracking shot in the supermarket and the shot from the cart looking up shot are really ambitious for a film that's essentially really silly. I think the conversation scene ruins any kind of credibility this short may have wanted to have. That, and the over-the-top narration that seemed mixed higher than anything else on the soundtrack!...   Well, a friend is a friend. A silly approach, mostly in the narration, but good with the performance in reactions the main character offers. It's quite endearing the excitement he has over the produce, when he describes the 'attachment' he shared with it. Where it ends up is scary, and the script dialogue is as simple as the mind being portrayed, but it was silly fun. The best... Well, a friend is a friend.   This short could have been hilarious. It was headed towards being sick and twisted but fell far short. The seed was planted with the idea of this riduclious love connection but never sprouted with a weak punch line. This was a scene from a sienfeld show or a skit for connan obrien, but it did not capture my attention. I liked some of the jokes but the execution and story... This short could have been hilarious. The side kick who had no problem his buddy marrying a potato but was upset at the suggestion that he be the best man was not thought through. These odd ball love stories have used the absurd to high light and mock the norm but this film could not get there. I liked the lead character and the buddy but saw to little of them struggling with their friendship. read

  The production sound on this was very hard to hear. The camera work was basic and stagnant. There was only practical lighting which made the shots lack any depth. There wan't much to the story. The acting was subpar. You state that the DVX-100 is the greatest camera ever, but you didn't do much with it to show how great it is. Better luck next time.
