  very well made. good lighting, direction and editing. your actors were especially good. i believed everyone of them (the excutive was perfect). my only negative comment is the "fart joke". i never have liked this joke - because it is to easy and has been done to death. but otherwise, a very solid piece of comedy. keep up the good work.

  No Mystery Why This Short Is Not Funny

  Reminds me of the scene from Elf, but I liked Elf better. The scene plays off like a scene from X-Files with dark shadows, but there is no mystery why this film is not funny, this short fails in the writing. Every time I hear him say "crap" I feel as though he wants to say "bull-sh..". Pick a different word that the boss would actually say. Your character may like the word... Your character may like the word "crap", but the word seems to be foreign to your actor and his performance. Your characters are underdeveloped, there are infinite ways this scene could be played and all the characters could switch their lines around with little effect on the overall result. You need to write the comedy well, before trying to shoot it. The director's assistant doesn't even say one word, he just repeats what the director says. It would be funny if he did say something completely stupid. The problem you set with your characters is that I do not care about any of them. They are all morons, and the boss is a complete stereotype. Who is the main character? I assume it is the boss, he is the only one with goals, everyone else is supportive of his goals so there really is no conflict, sounds pretty boring? It is. The fundamentals of storytelling are not here, time for a re-write. read

  POSITIVES: The visuals were crisp and professional. The lighting was superb. I thought the directing was very solid. I didn't notice any glaring blunders or technical mistakes. The acting had its moments. NEGATIVES: There's a reason you don't see a lot of 5 minute scenes involving a bunch of plain-looking guys talking in a room. It takes a real pro to pull off dialogue-heavy... POSITIVES: The visuals were crisp and professional. The lighting was superb.

  NEGATIVES: There's a reason you don't see a lot of 5 minute scenes involving a bunch of plain-looking guys talking in a room. It takes a real pro to pull off dialogue-heavy comedy, and I just don't think these guys hit the mark.
  OVERALL: This was a solid, but unspectacular effort. It's mildly humorous at times. That said, there's nothing to make this piece stand out in any way.
  In the future, I'd try to work more on crafting humorous situations that don't require perfect acting in order to achieve a comedic payoff. It will make your job a lot easier. read

  Hatch this is great short, simple and fun to watch. The production value was good and acting was great. The lighting was stylish and overall feel worked well. The boss was super funny and had some great lines. Great job on this short and hope to see more.

  This was a clever and funny film. I thought the casting was very good along with the actors. Their delivery of the jokes were very natural and in character. The look of the film was nice the sound and editing also well done. Funnny last joke. Good job and thanks for the laughs.

  Unbelievable and ambiguous

  The acting in this piece was completely unbelievable to me. No one would be slapped in the face and knocked down and then just continue on as if nothing happened. The two other actors suddenly appear. What was up with that? Were they there all the time, or is this supposed to be surrealism? Then, they describe ads for something, but what is it for? Again, not funny but... The acting in this piece was completely unbelievable to me. No one would be slapped in the face and knocked down and then just continue on as if nothing happened.

  Then, they describe ads for something, but what is it for? Again, not funny but surreal.
  
  Finally, we find out it's beef. Which makes none of the other suggestions for ads make any sense at all. Smelly couch? Horses and a zebra playing football?
  
  What is this movie trying to be? Is it surrealism? If so, what's the point it's trying to make? Is it comedy? If so, it's not succeeding at all. The surrealistic and absurdist elements are too distracting for it to be funny. read

  it's realy funny and smart, i love the dialoges. the shooting is realy good. nice acting. maybe the funnyest short film i've ever seen. realy natural. nice lighting. nice job, realy nice. funny, funny, funny and smart. i just can't stop watching this short film, it's realy funny

  Good execution, wonderful lighting, good performances. simple, sleek and funny. Some of the gags are quite good. The only flaw i find in it is that the subject is very alien to the common man. People may not identify with the intricacies of the advertising industry. Overall the perfomances remind me of Ally McBeal or Friends.

  Well, where to begin. I feel like this short was trying to be funny, but it wasn't. The slapstic humor with slapping and masturbation jokes made me feel like I was watching a bad teen flick. The abusive boss was the one that propelled the plot, and that is the bad thing. I feel like i've seen this story played out many times. The movie lost me right after the part about... Well, where to begin. I feel like this short was trying to be funny, but it wasn't. The slapstic humor with slapping and masturbation jokes made me feel like I was watching a bad teen flick.   No seriously, really funny. Well done on a simple, well written, funny short film. I think the slap makes it. It was hard not to burst out when that happened. Technically it is well lit, good composition and good sound. The editing is tight. Criticizing this film would do no good because it does its thing really well.
