  Well, you're sound was awful, the music was bad, you obviously lacked decent film equipment....but I still think you are a talent. I think better lighting would have gone a long way....as would have a lot of things. I usually offer up a lot of "tekkie" stuff for novice film makers, but in your case, I think you know what you are lacking and all it takes is a little cash to...   Everything worked here. The pacing. The direction. The acting. The music. It was all a nice composition. Personally, I find it hard to connect with a character in such a short time span. The fear and emotional involvement on my part is due in large part to how much I get to know the lead (i.e. victim). Whether I like her. Whether I care about her well-being. Three... Everything worked here. The pacing. The direction. The acting. The music. It was all a nice composition. Personally, I find it hard to connect with a character in such a short time span. The fear and emotional involvement on my part is due in large part to how much I get to know the lead (i.e. victim). Whether I like her. Whether I care about her well-being. Three minutes is tough to get that all across. But...this is a short movie and it's meant as a moment in a much larger story. And in that regard, this is a successful short. Well done.

  I don't want to fault your filmmaking. Framing, good. Lighting, good. Atmosphere created was in tune with the horror genre. I think the three minute restriction killed you. Very difficult for me to care about the character within this time. Plot needed work, think she would call a group of male friends with baseball bats to come over for the second night. Like the capturing of evil on camera but didn't seem realistic. But , like i say, filmmaking good, so as a showpiece for Director/Producer its ok. I'm sure the feature will allow you to flex your horror mind to its fullest and i have no doubt that you will pull something off with it. Good luck with "Dead-wood". read

  Polished film which though is far from fully explained certainly did a good job of making me check I really was alone in the house after watching it. If i was her, seriously Id have been out of there after the first night, let alone the video tape. Shes a brave one. Everything about this film suggests a film-maker who knows what they want and how to get it visually. Wise shot... Wise shot choices and a decent level of cinematography helped to draw me in but Id be more interested in seeing the next project Dead Wood than watching this again. Though it was well told, it really wasnt anything new. Anyway, thanks for spooking me! read

  Great. Now I'm gonna be up all night. Excellent work Dave! It reminded me of those really creepy witch hunt movies I'd catch on creature feature that kind of scarred me for life 'cause they were so terrifying. Charlotte is hot. I think her acting is good, it's a bit hard to tell. I love how all of a sudden she's in the middle of the yard abandoning her umbrella.There's NO WAY... Great. Now I'm gonna be up all night.   I don't know, a hand coming out of nowhere to seal the deal? I understand that it was for a 3-minute online horror competition, and that's great, but that doesn't give me much of a legible story. It can be done in 3 minutes, but you've got 10 here, so maybe bulk it up a bit with a couple minutes that give it a clear story arc rather than just a visual onslaught.

  It starts off with a good opening. Sound and cinematography were good, and you did aneffective job telling the story without words. An excellent job of editing, which brought the short up a notch and gave it a more frantic pace. Having her use the camcorder was a nice idea and the scene when she was watching the playback was the high point (except that the sunlight was far... It starts off with a good opening. I was disappointed by the ending though. It seemed like an easy way out after all the build-up that came before it. It failed to deliver in the end, but for a movie that was written and shot in one day, you did a nice job and I would still recommend it. read

  I am sorry, but I think this movie is supposed to be scary, but that acting at the beginning of this film made me burst out laughing like never before! I am not saying this film was bad - for it was very good, but just after she screams and looks around, that is one of the funniest things I have seen in a long time. It was awsome!   Few things are scarier than someone or something watching you while you sleep or use the toilet. Even more so when you can't see what's seeing you.I enjoyed the camera angles and quick shots. It added to the un-nerving situation. The sound and music was great, especially the piano during the stairscase scene. It added a good extra touch.I enjoyed it.

  In just three quick minutes, Bryant pulls you in to his scary world. The great thing about it is there are no gory unnecessary effects, just pure scare. The camera movements were great for setting up the suspense (I might steal the dolly shot from the camera to the stairs, revealing the storage door opening!...thks David).
