  I enjoyed the camera work and the cuts, as well as the music. However, the VO actually did more harm than good for me. I felt as if i was dropped into the middle of a full-length documentary, and that this was just a minute-long chaotic cut scene that would transition into more interviews or something of that nature.   It was a nice effort to capture the situation, but I m ust say I'm not certain if it was a proganda film pro Palestinian or anti. The voiceover was decent but a bit precious in my view, and the music, folkie, while showing arabic scenes, slightly off base. But good effort.

  the feel and texture of this film is of very good quality. i liked the shakey cam effect, the b&w film and the kids in the streets to demonstrate that people really do live there. and they must make a life in turmoil. music of the region also helped put me in the region. i felt the directors effort conveyed his feelings nicely.good job.

  The edits are pretty good. The camerawork is fine. The voicework is very good as well as the audio. The audio effects are good and the music is awesome. Is the script a poem? I'm a bit lost on the meaning of this piece, was this to show innocence lost? Continued Success!

  A short selection of clips shot handheld on 8mm does not make a documentary. To be perfectly honest I'm not exactly sure what this is meant to be, although it does contain some vaguely interesting images. With the sudden switch from b/w to colour the maker then adds a gunfire track over the top which is incredibly confusing. Lebanon as far as I know does not have the problems...   I liked the look of your film and it has a good pace to it. Sound was good also. The ending was a bit abrupt, Ifelt there was more to say/show. A tough subject matter indeed. I look forward to more from you - maybe a similar story focusing on an individual in the community? Nice work.

  Super 8 film gives a great look and i feel sorry for the kids in the movie. It s a tough life over there...living amidst bombs and fights! This short has a great potential and i didnt understand the intention of a shaky camera. If that is intentional, i didnt like it. Its short and to the point. Summary:- Good job!

  I think not. This was a good film. Perhaps a topic the director would like to explore more in depth with another more fully developed piece? At any rate, I enjoyed this video. I like the texture of film and the pov stuff. It's kind of a poetic convergence of spoken word, moving image and sound effects. Not sure what catergory this one goes in but I'm going to recommend...   I love the fact that you went with black and white and the use of the Super 8 gives the film a grainy quality that I love. I encountered a lot of loud hiss while watching it, but the problem may have been on my end. You made a good use of the quick pans and images of children and typical life in the city. The audio of all the violence with the contrasting peaceful images was... I love the fact that you went with black and white and the use of the Super 8 gives the film a grainy quality that I love. I think the production quality was great and it was an excellent way of making a statement in just about a minute of footage. read

  Powerful poetry in the spoken word. Beautiful touching music, the soundtrack from the score to the added sounds of battle and shotgun blasts were a strong contrast to get the point across, not to mention being seen by the world, while they must "block our ears from their propaganda". That view of Hard Rock during that line made it's own statement. Not to single them out as... Powerful poetry in the spoken word. To live in an environment of constant destruction to historical surroundings and the lives that built them is quite harsh. The images of the shaky camera are actually a decent attribute; a set of very realistic captures in a land plagued by upheaval, yet testifying life goes on. Those children's eyes... The overall edit packed a lot in the minute + offered, fast paced and yet moved well. To be honest, I did not know if the reality in the last passage represented the director's feelings as well, or simply part of the overall documented issues. I also was not certain that the comment was pro Palestine for that matter. However, if residing there I'm sure one would understand. To a small extent I was glad I did not. I believe the essence captured here may speak more volumes than most viewers might ever realize read
