  This was awesome storytelling. The first thing I thought about was the birth of Jesus. I love how you told the story in modern day times. The animation was good as well. I love how this story didn't beat you over the head with a deep Christian theme but it was subtle enough to make you think about Mary and Joseph. Keep up the good work.   What the hell was that?

  Was that a comedy? At the end it felt like a lecture but it did make me laugh when he started to sing. So I am guessing that that was supposed to be a comedy. I have to be honest I thought it was pretty bad. The dialogue, the noises the girl made (not good), the look of it, the editing, the sound. It felt like a sermon towards the end which is never a good thing. Sorry.

  At first I was thinking, why the mumbles? It got a little annoying rather quickly, but I decided to tough it out and I'm glad I did. This was great! A great ending to a story and very well played out. I enjoyed it. Your characters were believable and the story was well written. I loved the roof top contemplation. Great work!

  Sorry this film is not at all my cup of tea. The PreVis animation didn't do anything for me. The story wasn't something that I'm engaged by. I don't get why the woman didn't speak. Is that suppose to symbolize that women's opinions don't matter or that men just understand the simple workings of women. Sorry, I'm not trying to be trite I just really didn't get it. There's a... There's a movie (adapted from a play) called Agnes of God directed by Norm Jewison that deals with the idea of Faith vs. Logic in a much more interesting and dynamic way. Now, I understand that's a huge hollywood movie and this is a little short, but I'd still like to see something that's original and engages me. Sorry, just my opinion. read

  Mister Lang, I don't know how you do it, but you keep banging out these shorts like wedding confetti. What can I say, they're amusing. I like watching them, not because of the symbolism or the message, because to be honest, most of the time I don't get it, but because they are so funny and usually have a story.   What can I say, they're amusing. I like watching them, not because of the symbolism or the message, because to be honest, most of the time I don't get it, but because they are so funny and usually have a story. (This one not so much, it has a story but isn't really funny. It's still very much amusing, though).
  
  You really have a talent as a film maker and if you happen to put something out on the silver screen, I'd be sure to buy a ticket.
  
  The animation of this sort wasn't great, but it did its job. I guess I can understand why you didn't let Mary speak for herself. The voiceover work was good. And sometimes I could really see emotion in your animation.

  My only other assignment so far was for a film by Elmer Lang, which I really didn't like. So when I saw his name pop up on the front end I thought 'Oh no - here we go again'. How wrong can you be? This was a tiny breath of fresh air. Different and delightful and inventive. Authentic dialogue from the mouths of animated characters. Difficult to say much more without including... My only other assignment so far was for a film by Elmer Lang, which I really didn't like. So when I saw his name pop up on the front end I thought 'Oh no - here we go again'. How wrong can you be? This was a tiny breath of fresh air. Different and delightful and inventive. Authentic dialogue from the mouths of animated characters. Difficult to say much more without including spoilers. Don't know if you did the animation yourself, Elmer, but it's excellent. Well done. read

  I really enjoyed this. Not that it was perfect -- there were plenty of things I think could have been improved upon, but overall, I really liked it. First, the choice of "The Movies" as the engine for this brings back memories for me. I still think that animation style is cool. However, the choice of using the canned female mumbling was not so good. The rest of the sound... I really enjoyed this. Not that it was perfect -- there were plenty of things I think could have been improved upon, but overall, I really liked it.

  However, the choice of using the canned female mumbling was not so good. The rest of the sound engineering was plenty good though, so I guess I can overlook that.
  
  There were a small number of rough edits that look like they could have been smoother, but overall the editing was sound too.
  
  Camera work was splendid! The song at the end was well done and well timed.
  
  The theme was unoriginal and didn't really do anything for me, but I liked the rest of the film enough to overlook that. read

  I didnt realize at first that it was about the Virgin Mary and Joseph, so at first I really wasnt feeling it but suddenly I understood and then it kinda was cool. The Animation left a lot to be desired but overall it was ok because a liked it as a modern story.

  So to be honest I didn't care for the film. I don't think there is so much a problem with the concept as there is with the story. I found the dialogue really slow and not very funny. I get where you were going with the strangeness of the sim reality but It had nothing to keep me watching. I think if the film had more humor that comes from the sim world it would have made the...   Very funny Machinima style short. Perfect use of mannerisms. The crying for the "guy who got her pregnant" was spot on dramatic. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be a comedic piece but it most certainly was to me. Also, great version of Joy to the World. Enjoyed this very much and will be watching more of your submissions.
