  I have made a similar short to Mixed Messages myself, and I still didn't that twist coming. Well done on really building a suspenseful lead up, to then pull the rug out from beneath the viewer. Masterful use of a bluetooth headset to convey the twist. In terms of production it was solid, with the use of tight angles to create suspense and make you think that there was going...   I liked this best of the 10 or so short films I have reviewed. I have the same complaint of most shorts that you can't tell a compelling story in so short a time and you can't tell a compelling piece of a story without the rest of the story. However, I really enjoyed this. It was heavily stylized and not in the typical gaudy MTV-style that I hate. I would say it was gaudy... I liked this best of the 10 or so short films I have reviewed.
  
  I have the same complaint of most shorts that you can't tell a compelling story in so short a time and you can't tell a compelling piece of a story without the rest of the story.
  
  However, I really enjoyed this. It was heavily stylized and not in the typical gaudy MTV-style that I hate. I would say it was gaudy in a sincere and complementary way. I really thought it worked well and distracted from the unavoidable problem that the larger context of what was happening doesn't exist (because its a short).
  
  The thing I liked most was the credits. I just liked the visual was they flashed and stopped. It has a good "rhythm" to the visual way they were presented. I felt sorry for the people whose credit were flashed in a split micro-second but the presentation was very artistic.
  
  I really liked this. I would love to see a feature by the maker(s) of this short. While I see potential in the makers of other shorts I have reviewed on Triggerstreet, I see FULFILLED potential with this short. I think your filmmaking skills need to be put to a feature with a full intriguing story. read

  I liked this film, although it seemed just a little unrealistic the reason being is that the woman was sitting right in front of the man, and she was even talking to him. It seems unrealistic to me that the man wouldn't have acknowledged her, maybe if the man somehow didn't see or hear the woman talking to him, and at the same time the woman thought she was being talked to...   I enjoyed the fact that a short of this nature can proke a quick reaction from an audience. It was quick, funny, and effective. The film throws the audience off and you don't know what's going to happen until the very end. The camera work was subtle, the dialogue was sharp and the acting was good. You got my vote.

  Definitely would have thought this was a commercial for bluetooth or motorolla. Great audio, lighting, acting, & cinematography. No real character development to help me care what happens to either of them. But fun none the less! Would like to see what you could do with a bit of depth in characters.

  Although I couldn’t believe that he couldn’t, or wouldn’t response to the stranger as she was talking to him, the story still had a great climax. The camera angles and close ups to the mouth, eyes and glasses with her reflection led to the misdirection. Also went back and caught the cell phone in the glasses which I didn’t take in the first time around. Yes, it was a funny... Although I couldn’t believe that he couldn’t, or wouldn’t response to the stranger as she was talking to him, the story still had a great climax.

  It was so well done that halfway I actually thought. This guy is cheating. He used real talented actors and crew. And then thought, thats the point of this. If there's anything I didn't like, it's the flash cuts to try to jazz it up. Because of that, it was kind of disorienting of what she was doing when she was standing up to go. But VERY GOOD JOB!

  Bloke is talking on Bluetooth phone, girl opposite thinks he is talking to her, she gets offended and slaps him, the end. What was done was done very well, fine acting, good use of close ups, reflections in glasses that sort of thing, but anyone wanting something more profound should move along - there is nothing to see here. What was done was done very well, fine acting, good use of close ups, reflections in glasses that sort of thing, but anyone wanting something more profound should move along - there is nothing to see here. I spotted the phone in the guy's ear before he got slapped, I think it would have been better if it was a surprise to the audience.
  
  Your film is listed as 2 mins 25 secs, but I worked out that 1 min 12 secs of that was credits. Gosh, what were all those people find to do? Do you have a money tree in your back yard to pay them all? Finally the volume of the music in the end credits suddenly jumped up halfway through for some reason, so keep an eye on that.
  
  Overall 1 min 13 secs of well filmed and edited fluff. read

  This film was based on a really fun concept, that a guy is talking to someone on his cel phone and a stranger thinks he is talking to her instead. The photography was pretty good and fit the feel of the film. I liked the idea of the film, but the execution didn't quite work for me. For one thing, the woman strangely sits down on an empty train right in front of the only guy... For one thing, the woman strangely sits down on an empty train right in front of the only guy on board. And there was something very dreamy about it, so I kept thinking she was going to wake up in a cold sweat in her own bed. Why didn't the guy react when she started talking to him? The whole thing just felt dreamy and I never once felt like it was real and that he was a real person talking to a real girl. For my own taste, it all felt very stagey and set up. So when the reveal happened, I didn't really feel any shock or surprise. Maybe it would have worked better for me if the actress and the guy were not directly facing each other or if the actress had thoughts of switching to another seat. Again, the concept works pretty well, but the execution just seemed to keep me from being on the ride. read

  This was a cool snippet of a film with a hilarious ending. Great camera work and editing that set the pace and mood. The credits and music roll was even great. It gave me time to laugh and reminisce about how it all went wrong. The only thing I would recommend changing your synopsis as it's misleading and doesn't prepare us for the twist which would work better if we were let... How about this: "A late night train ride does a 180 turn when an attractive female passenger accuses a handsome male passenger of an indecent proposal." It better sets up what we are to actually see and will give us a moment of "oh, yeah, I should've seen that coming." Otherwise terrific idea and great execution. read
