  I liked this. The story is no far fetched complex theme, and no artys crap here. It hammers home a simple truism. Be yourself. In this case it's a happy ending. It's not always, but the moral remains true anyway. The story was told in the same fashion as the moral. Simple. That is not say unimaginative. A decent selection of shots, fairly tight editing, and a consistent pace... I liked this. The story is no far fetched complex theme, and no artys crap here. It hammers home a simple truism.   I thought that this was a fun little short with a lot of good-natured humor. Competent in its execution it shows a director who is has the talent to produce a well-directed and edited piece together. The tone of the entire short was consistent with the punchline of the joke which made everything flow very nicely. There is a playful quality to the narration and I would like... There is a playful quality to the narration and I would like to see further work by this director to see if it is a trait of the director's good humor or whether it was simply the appropriate tone chosen for this piece.   This was a very nice film. The production of it was good - the camera, the editing, it helped in telling the story. It was light humor that was enjoyable to watch. The little dog did take my attention and brought more humor to it as well. Really simple story and it came across good. Nice work.

  Cute and Funny...

  Although "Cute and Funny" aren't the way to go today! It made me laugh! Which is more important, to me, than anything! Light comedy with a twist of "who cares"? While this is my first review of a S.F. I Can only HOPE others are as as good this one!! It gave me a laugh in a world full of TV news and dread. We NEED more of this this type of simple humor! As far as I'm concerned,... Although "Cute and Funny" aren't the way to go today! It made me laugh! Which is more important, to me, than anything! Light comedy with a twist of "who cares"? While this is my first review of a S.F. I Can only HOPE others are as as good this one!! It gave me a laugh in a world full of TV news and dread. We NEED more of this this type of simple humor! As far as I'm concerned, I only wish I can give people a chucle as this S.F. film did!!!!!! read

  I found this short to be visually well crafted, however the story/writing was a bit lacking. The director is obviously talented. He has the ability to strike any chord in the audience with a single image. The "sitcom" sequence was especially well observed. However this short had a problem that many short plays and films often do. There is a character that is really just... However this short had a problem that many short plays and films often do. There is a character that is really just the director's tool to tell a joke, and then at the end there is some kind of growth or change in the character. However since we don't really know or care about the character, or the story for that matter, this resolution seems tacked on like a punchline. This short works as a fun and entertaining piece, but if the director wants to tell a good story, I would recommend he use a script written by someone else. All in all though, one of the better films I've seen on the site. read

  I liked the simplicity of this film. For my taste, there was maybe one too many sections though. The last one before 'reality' didn't add much to the story for me. I also felt that the progression could have been stronger. Start bad. Things get worse and then they're downright awful. But the way you structured it, when his dog is dead in the country section, that's as... I liked the simplicity of this film. For my taste, there was maybe one too many sections though. I did like the film though. Funny and simple. Nice camera work. All around...good job. read

  Love the music, especially the first song. The writer/director has a knack for keeping interest level up and good pacing as it flowed nicely. The acting was very good, people's faces were quite expressive. The camera angles told the stories nicely. The shot with his putting the straw hat still undressed gave a visual impact.   It was not bad all. Great film for the 48 hr film festival. The 80's sitcom was great. The score of the film was very good. No problem with the performances of the actors. If the film was made again, def. could be some major changes but overall, it was not bad.

  I really like this film. It was short and sweet and had funny stuff going on. The 80's sitcom bit was hilarious. Laugh out loud funny. I read the production notes after viewing and was even more impressed that it was done in such a short time frame. Plus the message was great- just be yourself. I don't really have much to critique.   This was a wel managed balance of broad comic vignettes with a larger more poetic musical silent comedy and it worked on all levels. I admired the simple framework and the changing styles. Thesame location and actor comically changing to suit the mood. Its funny and effective and ultimately sweet and conveys much about the actors and the creative talent behind the film. I...
