  The title, Melissa & Cindy, plus Will Petzel's direction worked well for this project, Kyle on the other hand took away from this being a totally excellent project. David Mead did and excellent job. I like the idea just didn't care for how Ethan protraded Kyle.

  This was a fun little production. The male actor was ok, a little actorly, but I thought the female actors were very good, very real, I thought at first they were just women stopped and asked their opinions, so that was the best part to me. The camera, editing and script all were decent enough to tell the story, good luck.

  Kyle was really out to be abused, It was so obvious to the world that he was a wanta be, obvious he didn't think so, he went for it. So, the writing was good. An the actors seem to be able to hold there own. The pacing was also good. Was this a spoof or completely originale. So I will give you a two star.

  What I believe is the premise for your documentary is that some online/video daters are completely out of touch with what is in demand. It could be carried out into a longer-form piece, where that premise could be explored further. Right now it is simply a portrait of the in-demand character. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing. What could make it interesting is more... What I believe is the premise for your documentary is that some online/video daters are completely out of touch with what is in demand. However, that is not necessarily a bad thing. What could make it interesting is more footage, of this guy and maybe other guys, and the lengths they go do to be cool. What about their everyday lives they think make them so very interesting. There could be an arc established by which, perhaps, it is revealed to the central character that he is not, in fact, in demand, and see whether/how that changes him. The key difference IMHO between docs and portraits involves some sort of change on the part of the characters. Nice work, keep it up. The shots are all interesting, which for talking heads I know can be a challenge. read

  The idea was original. The editing was smooth. The sound was okay, but the compression was not great, so the actual sound was probably way better. His character was an idiot. I know that was the point, but what was with the on and off accent? I think the only good part about this film are the two girls who were great. If that was scripted, it was brilliant acting on their parts... The idea was original. The editing was smooth.   This was a mockumentary of dating shows. It seemed to me to be an actor improvising a fake interview to be shown to real women on the street. The women's reaction seemed to be real, and that was interesting, but the man's interview seemed to be right in the middle of ridiculous and unbelievable. I thought it was a good idea, though.   Something about the phrase "In Demand" makes me laugh...but I don't know if this is a real show or not. I'm pretty sure you're spoofing something, but the original source is lost on me. I guess most of the humor was lost on me because of this--I didn't know where all of this was coming from. However, the women's performances here kinda threw me off. It didn't seem believable... It didn't seem believable that they would be so angry--I'd expect them to think, "this guy is a pathetic joke", but I wouldn't expect them to react so strongly. Maybe that's how the show goes...one day I'll come across it, and laugh my butt off, I guess. read

  This is a funny concept and I wouldn't be surprised to turn on Bravo tomorrow and find that it's turned into a proper reality show. That makes a good starting point for a short comedy, but I wish these writers had taken it further. I like Kyle, but he doesn't need to be so cheesy right off the bat. By making him a normal guy it leaves room to develop the whole dungeon thing... This is a funny concept and I wouldn't be surprised to turn on Bravo tomorrow and find that it's turned into a proper reality show. That makes a good starting point for a short comedy, but I wish these writers had taken it further. I like Kyle, but he doesn't need to be so cheesy right off the bat. By making him a normal guy it leaves room to develop the whole dungeon thing in funnier ways later. And the accent's got to go, it's too much of a give away. The female actors were spot-on. The scripts starts to roll when Kyle gets on the dungeon tip and talking about New York. Why not get even wilder, take it to someplace truly far out--and show him engaged in whatever activity that is. Wishful thinking on no budget, but you get the idea. That opens possibilities for bigger reacts from the females. Finally, it seems to me that one of the women should have given him the thumbs up, if only as the punchline to a joke. I like that In Demand had so many possibilities, and with some work it gets a big thumbs up. read

  This short was a solid satire on the reality TV thing which I hate. It was edited in a solid manner. The guys performance was grand. The type of character you meet on occasion and can't believe a human like that actually exists. The girls were believable and their performances were tight. What kind of eccentric and unaware young lady would date Kyle? Maybe that could be the... This short was a solid satire on the reality TV thing which I hate. It was edited in a solid manner.   I liked its simplicity. It was shot nice, clean, no real movement and captured the documentary / reality TV style. The acting was good, but flat, and really wasn't belivable enough to pull me in. My only real problem was that there was no arc or payoff for the film. It was like an extended joke. A joke . . . in demand.
