  I really loved this short. The photography, the direction, and the acting was wonderful, The script was funny as hell. The narration of the undercover cop was brilliant. Did he close his case, did he solve his viagra problem. Did he pop, yes a pun was intended. You English are so biazzre, but I loved it.

  It was very creative and interesting to me. I had a smile on my face while watching it, because i didn't know what to expect while watching. I liked how each character was introduced in the film, so you knew who they were and what was going on. It was fun to watch.

  Nicely done!! I had to laugh at the ending. For me this kind of story could either go terribly wrong or terribly well, and I think you pulled it off wonderfully, in particular due to your great pacing and excellent actors. It's very hard to make a good story with almost only one type of shot. You stuck very strongly to medium shots, from the same angle and almost all shots... Nicely done!! I had to laugh at the ending.   It's very hard to make a good story with almost only one type of shot. You stuck very strongly to medium shots, from the same angle and almost all shots with same composition... people sitting in a sofa and people standing up dancing, which was more towards the end. Even if I would encourage to diversify and make some wide shots, I didn't feel at all that this story needed it! If I would try to point out why it worked, it would be the actors. They did a fabulous job, were very expressive and completely believable. The cop to me felt as if he was completely out of place at such a party, which added to his character. Something else I feel is important, which I've found out as well working with theater actors, is that you can have great actors who the camera doesn't love. I hope this comment makes any sense... but it's something you had no issue with with your actors. If you rely completely on your actors, you need them to fit perfectly. And yours did.
  
  A second thing I loved about this movie was the photography. I loved how you work with focus and I loved the colorwork, both what you did digitally and how you dressed the actors and the room.
  
  If I would change one thing, it would be the ending: the way the cop gets up and takes his guns out, is as bit cliché and over the top... But appart from this small point, I loved every bit of it and recommended the movie. read

  Visually, this short was well composed. A series of simple but effective shots set the stage well, and the effect introducing the main players was a nice addition. The editing went well with the narration (which for the most part was well acted I thought). The music also helped set the mood without being overwhelming or distracting. Colour, framing and focus were all well utilized,... Visually, this short was well composed.   My biggest criticism would be that there is far too much exposition. I think perhaps the concept was a bit ambitious for a film of this length. I felt like I was being told everything that was going on in the room without really getting much of a chance to just see and experience it for myself (again, at least partially due to the length). I'd suggest toning down the constant stream of info and focusing on simpler aspects of what's going on. It's not that it was hard to follow, it wasn't, but a lot of the narration struck me as unnecessary (an undercover Narc stating that he has to pretend to fit in... yeah, that's generally what undercover cops do) or detracting from the story (we're introduced to a few different characters, but they're just faces with names attached, not actual characters, and we don't have any connection to them). I also found the cursing lost it's effect quickly, I can appreciate that someone in this situation would be having a reasonably vulgar series of thoughts, but in such a short piece it was a bit overkill. I felt like the lead was a stereotypical cutout character, and I think the stream of cussing really didn't help alter that perception. I'd probably prefer fewer lines of more substance and character over a back story and new situation that's just being shoved at me rapid fire.
  
  So, to recap, well produced, just needed to be simplified a bit. read

  Alex, I'm sure I'm not the first to say: "WHOA! Is that Morgan Freeman?" only to realize a few seconds in that it's not. :) However, he's a great actor/voice actor. I loved the look and the pacing was great. Well done! I shared the youtube link of your film on my Facebook. People are digging it. Definitely get's my recommendation to advance to the festivals.   From watching these 5 minutes you get a feel... like its not getting personal or real or funny. its quite interesting. Guy Ritchie style kind of. But i think that was tacky. And if people were to see the entire 90 minute movie in a theater with that kind of vibe to it. - Girls would come out of the theater remembering one funny moment and other people would not generally like...   At the beginning I was thinking this was going to be like one of those Old Spice, or The Most Interesting Man In the World parodies, but the further I went along the more I grew on to what was going on and like it more and more as it grew. Very well shot and put together, and should be considered.

  Very good visual of the atmosphere of a drug party. The casting is convincing. I like the cutting back between the narrator and party scenes because it keeps you involved in the story. the visuals and music work well together. The cameos of the characters are too generalized to get feel for who the are. I would like to have seen more of the party goers reaction when he pulls...   Guy Ritchie all day long. And who doesn’t like that? Clearly the writer and the director of Old Acquaintance Be Forgot does and together they do fairly well in delivering a chatty, irreverent, approach to Ritchie’s genre. The photography is solid, color correction appears creative and sophisticated. However, there is a suspense or drama-effecting lack of visual story-telling... Guy Ritchie all day long. And who doesn’t like that? Clearly the writer and the director of Old Acquaintance Be Forgot does and together they do fairly well in delivering a chatty, irreverent, approach to Ritchie’s genre.
  
  The photography is solid, color correction appears creative and sophisticated. However, there is a suspense or drama-effecting lack of visual story-telling - as one always asks of film, specially the short film genre, can this film stand up in terms of visual story-telling without the voice over?
  
  The dialog is, however, well written but at times repetitive - but that could be an issue of character and style again - and the exposition within the protagonists voice give us a solid sense of why and how everything is happening. Unfortunately, little happens in terms of an event that is dramatic enough to push this short to a higher level.
  
  As it is, it’s fun, often funny, but to this reviewer, somewhat visually limited (for all the great action that’s going around in it’s single location and wild characters and great costuming the camera forever stays on one man) that it feels to tightly edited to deliver much of a punch short of the dialog’s narrative necessity.
  
  Where this short film comes close to really delivering the goods, is the quality of voice acting, use of editing style and the production value in hi-res cinematography, great sound/score and the high quality title effects. read
