  This was a really funny little piece that was so simple yet so effective i really enjoyed it i like the way 1 simple photo became so interesting the Naration was well recorded and very funny. im really looking foward to watching some more of the real true series which i think im gonna start doing right now

  This is the first short I have watched on Trigger. I thought that it was clever of the maker to use the photo not available tag and that it added to the humour of the piece. I enjoyed it. I also thought that the graininess of the narrator added to the overall aesthetic of the piece.

  Because this short is a comedy, it can get away with technique that would ordinarily be called flawed, but it's flaws were used intentionally to incite humor. I couldn't figure out the photo before the close up on the boots, but it was probably something funny. I loved the over usage of the one photogragh, the usage of text in place of photographs as well as the clever insertion...   Your presentation of an historical figure bares some reflection - like it reminded me of South Park, man. Your presentation - cute. Your narration - cute. Your overall screenplay -- CUTE. I enjoyed myself. Question: Why this figure if you only have 1 foto of him?

  Mr. M.J. Butler has made a real true funny story here. Though most of the film only features footage from a single photo, the editing makes this interesting enough to be watchable. I love the part with the "photo not available" getting shot. It's really amazing how much you can get out of so little, and this short shows how to do it.   I would have like more creativity around the fact that this story had only one photo to tell the story THE PHOTO NOT AVAILABLE WAY seemed to me redondant after one pass. BUT THE ONLY PHOTO COULD HAVE BEEN USED IN much more different ways and added to the story.

  This was hysterical. The use of the single photo and "not available" ones was perfect. More an excercise in editing and writing than filmmaking, its still a hysterically funny film. Can't say too much more because there's no real criticism to make. Just plain funny.

  I'm not familiar with the particular thing they are parodying. But, I'm unsure how a movie with like 3 photos and no film/video in it is getting such great reviews. I thought it was sort of funny, but nothing to write home about. Not sure how to review this? There wasn't any acting/camera angles/etc.

  While watching this, the joke wore off after about 30 seconds and I got it. That it kept going on didn't necessarily make it funny for me, but it increased the insipidness of it all. I love mocku-anything and this nailed it; could have been shorter and perhaps had a "preview" of next weeks episode and then show "no photo availble" or "checking archves for photo". It's easy... While watching this, the joke wore off after about 30 seconds and I got it. That it kept going on didn't necessarily make it funny for me, but it increased the insipidness of it all.
