  For me the entire movie seems like a dream, or what we remember from dreams when we wake up. It's fragmented, very strange, same characters returning in different aspectsn probably based on reality and very uncomprehensible. Very Lynch. As a consequence I'm having a hard time saying something about it. I'll change from my routine and start with the technical. I like the choice...   I'll change from my routine and start with the technical. I like the choice of music. It suited the style and the topic very much. Unfortunately at some points the dialogues didn't come through because of the music. The sound in technical matters needed more work, specially when the guy in a suit enters the house. I couldn't understand him even with the sound up.
  
  Shot angles and general technique were okay. However, given the complexity of the story, I believe it would have benefited from a slightly more out-of-the-box photography: differences in depth of field, more close-ups, etc. On a sidenote, I'd love to see it in higher quality to be more able to judge photography.
  
  The actors did a good job. I'm a great fan of different languages in movies too, and I like how you tackled that - Christina didn't speak the language... so the viewer was actually at an advantage over her, seeing the subtitles! Nicely done and a great way to create suspense.
  
  At first glance, the story seemed interesting, but I think it tried to tackle too much for such a short film. I would have worked with less characters and less plot hooks, so at least one plot hook could have been worked out in more detail, either visually or storywise. It's hard to judge for me, at this point, if I missed clues in the movie to understand it or if the movie just didn't leave any clues... or maybe the clues were too cryptic.
  
  In conclusion, I think it's a good attempt at a Lynch-like movie, but it fails on various points mentioned earlier. As a consequence it lacks the edge these kind of movies need in order to keep the viewer watching. read

  Overall, this wasn't too bad. The camera itself is obviously limiting in what it can accomplish, and so some of the amateur look is out of your control. The lighting looks almost mostly natural, but it looks a little better than natural, I'm curious as to how much you lit it. I'm not knocking the lighting, I actually think it was good in a minimalist, natural sort of way... Overall, this wasn't too bad. The camera itself is obviously limiting in what it can accomplish, and so some of the amateur look is out of your control. I'm not knocking the lighting, I actually think it was good in a minimalist, natural sort of way.
  
  The sound can use a little work. The dialogue is fine, but the ambiance, sort of static noise is not consistent throughout, and so you can hear a lot of the cuts. Especially in the beginning. Smooth that out. It can be done.
  
  The guy that smiles a lot is pretty funny.
  
  The biggest flaw I think is in the acting, which is while serviceable, isn't very good, with the exception of Christina, who does a pretty decent job. But, I understand Natalie Portman isn't exactly readily available.
  
  As for shot composition, I think that could use some work. Use your shots to not only tell a story, but also elicit an emotion. Personally, I felt there were too many close-ups, and at time the editing was a little too jarring.
  
  That's all I got. Overall, pretty good.

  This seems to be a piece an audience member would have to watch several times to understand. At this point I don't understand it and I just saw it. I know there is a point to be found in the piece but it wasn't made apparent enough in the end for me. I don't mind a film to be confusing but at the end the confusion should be cleared up.   I enjoyed the performances and the odd dialog. The fart line made me laugh. Certainly not a stock film. I give big credit for trying to be different. This was a different piece. read

  This short film was very interesting, it has a lot of great cinematography that was well put together. The story line is by far different from every other short film I’ve seen, and I find it very creative. I say you did a great job on making the script on the day of! This piece was also very heart racing with the background sounds, and the effects. There’s a lot of depth I... I don’t find it strange but, that’s a pretty good job in establishing it. Overall great film, I’ve learned that there’s lots of different types of short films. Great work :) read

  As I wrote for a review of a surreal screenplay on this site, I'm not a big fan of the "Synedoche, New York" or "After Hours" stuff. In fact, I dislike it severely. I am glad that you will move onto linear, conventional films because I saw flashes of talent in this movie. I would love to cast the lead actress in one of my films. She is great. The guy who played the priest..... As I wrote for a review of a surreal screenplay on this site, I'm not a big fan of the "Synedoche, New York" or "After Hours" stuff. In fact, I dislike it severely.   I would love to cast the lead actress in one of my films. She is great. The guy who played the priest... not so much... oh, except for the "wet pussy" line. He probably waited all night and most of the day to say that line to the sexy woman.
  
  Yeah, I would like to view your "normal" films when you make them. I'm not sold on this one, though. read

  is that it doesn't have to make sense. The burden of trying to gain any understanding from such a film is left squarely on the viewer. I have never been a big fan. Truthfully, I have enough to occupy my mind without trying to make sense of the pointless, or of a film so esoteric that only the privledged few might stumble upon a common interpretation. That is not to say it's a bad film though. My personal taste is just that. Personal. The lack of a story understandable to the masses in a agreeable concept means I can't really critique it. The shooting itself was quite good and all the actors did a fine job, with the possible exception of the priest, who I had trouble hearing at times. That may have been his fault or it may have been yours. At any rate, it wasn't a bad watch since it was done with good production quality. I just didn't "get" it. I look forward to seeing what you do with a structured film. read

  This was a well executed short film. The cinematography was nice and tight, and the audio was clear. Technically, the only thing I would change would be to add a "drop shadow" to the subtitles, they were kind of hard to read. Your lead actress did very well. She had a natural presence on screen, and wasn't "acting." I did think the priest was a little too agressive at first,... This was a well executed short film.   I did think the priest was a little too agressive at first, but after taking in the entire surrealism of the piece, he fit in well.
  
  Although I would rather just be entertained instead of getting a headache trying to figure out the plot, I do realize that the genre of this piece has a legitimate following, and I believe that the filmmaker accomplished his goal of "intriguing, yet surreal," flawlessly.
  
  Not my cup of tea personally, but the quality was outstanding enough to recommend this piece for contest consideration. read

  I have no idea what I just watched. It was incoherent and had no point to it whatsoever. The only thing noticeable was a woman seemingly felt guilty about havening a lesbian encounter. I don't know what all the crazy shots were supposed to be representing and the business guy who talks about farting, That seems like it was thrown in there just to make it more abstract and confusing... I just don't get what was going on at all. Some of the camera shots looked OK. There is potential there but as a story telling this completely fell short. read

  This is my first review here. I must say that I was impressed by this flick. The story was a little weird but I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was shot in crystal clear HD with very nice audio and the pacing was good. The gentlemen who played the priest and the smiling dude in the hallway were extremely freaky and well done. I didn't understand who the girl on the DVD was,... This is my first review here. I must say that I was impressed by this flick. The story was a little weird but I enjoyed it thoroughly. I didn't understand who the girl on the DVD was, but I am guessing that it is her subconscious - feeling guilty for becoming a lesbian after her husband's death. I'm not really sure... but I definitely liked it the same way I enjoyed The Happening. I wish this woman good luck with her next film. read

  I can tell that you like David Linch, as you play with the same theme, trying to dislocate the story and the character. I like David Linch too. I really like your actress, she is very good. But I must confess, I was very lost with the film. Some times I was very interested of what was happening, but after a while I didn't understand it and I got lost. Very good use of music...   Very good use of music and some camera shots show that you know how to use it. Sound could improve a bit.
  I must admit that's the best film I see here so far, but still could be better. Good job and keep offering films. read
