  I was very entertained by your short film. I felt it was bizzare yet creative. It reminded me of the 3 minute film I uploaded titled "Fowl Birth". My name is Mark and my co-stars name is Sheila. While viewing I thought it had something to do with my plot, until I noticed when you uploaded it. Checkout "Fowl Birth" and you will see what I'm refering to. Best, Sifumark...   A great little film with a twist ending that I'm sure NOBODY will forget. Well paced overall, but I must confess on second viewing that perhaps some of the early stuff, although well shot, was perhaps just a little redundant (in contrast to that magnificent ending.) Acting was good, and the direction was excellent. Very daring & well done overall.

  I beleive the film had an interesting premise, however, there could have been more of a build towards the climax...more tension between the couple. This could have been accomplished with dialouge. I found it funny which i beleive was the intent, but I just want ed to see a little more drama before the pay off.

  Mark has problems. Serious, serious problems. That's what I took from the story. Mark is not what he seems. Be afraid of dumping Mark, because he'll dismember you and eat you. Unfortunately for me, that's not enough to hold my interest in the short. Acting was okay. Not great. Direction was good. Was that handheld in the grocery store? The production value of the... Mark has problems. Serious, serious problems. That's what I took from the story. Mark is not what he seems. Be afraid of dumping Mark, because he'll dismember you and eat you. Unfortunately for me, that's not enough to hold my interest in the short.
  
  Acting was okay. Not great. Direction was good. Was that handheld in the grocery store? The production value of the apartment left something to be desired like color. Something on the walls. It just felt bland. Even the table set-up. Everything felt like I was watching a short film and I shouldn't think that. Do you know what I mean? Music was interesting. I liked it.
  
  I guess what I wanted was more about the characters and thei relationship. Why are they breaking up? Why is Mark psychotic? What's Sheila's problem with him? SHould she have ever feared his rage? Is he serving another ex for dinner? I just think there could've been more. Much more. This just felt like one big set-up to get to the shock of Mark eating his ex-girlfriend. I'm sorry, I just didn't like it. read

  This is an excellent effort, and showcases some good filmaking talent. The opening sequence, sparsely shot and edited draws us quickly into the story and got my attention right away. The film does a good job of telling a story without dialogue.I particularily liked the steadicam shots which reminded me of "Elephant" and "The Shining". The low angles are effective. The beat... The beat track while a bit repetitive, sets the mood as we are drawn into Sheila arriving for dinner. I liked the story and the ending, which surprised me and for sure put me off my breakfast and I'm eating veggies for the rest of the day. In the dinner scene, would have liked to have seen a more traditonal coverage, ie some static closeups and cutting more on the dialogue. I think some flash cuts more descriptive of the climax would have helped, ie her face, his hands on her neck, some struggle??? I don't know. Overall a good effort, seems a little dark visually, could have benefited from some lighting or color correction but keep shooting! Thumbs up read

  I really like this movie. I especially like the camera work. The opening shot had me griped, very shining-esque I thought. Looks amazing. Also I really liked how you had the guy getting ready, it was almos military like, which made you feel like there was something not quite right with him. The editing through ot was excellent too as was the acting. I really liked your choice... I really like this movie. I especially like the camera work.   I'm not sure what the your intention was in shooting this scene on video and calling it a movie but I for one missed it. A guy spends an inordinate amount of time shopping for dinner and then murders a woman whom we know nothing more about than her name and we are supposed to care? What's this guys backstory, it's not enough to simply introduce that he's close to his mother... What's this guys backstory, it's not enough to simply introduce that he's close to his mother and expect us to understand and buy the fact that he's a sociopathic murderer and cannabilizer of women. Anyway, work on the story next time and present something worth four minutes. On the positive side, I did like the look of the supermarket scene and the steadicam (or is it shopping cart?) shot. Also liked the song that you composed in Soundtrack or whatever. Good luck. read

  Lee your movie is kickass. Your best yet. The photography was amazing. The constant use of the dolly was brilliant. I loved it from start to finish. great work amigo.I had no idea that your films from USC were going to be this great. I can't wait to see the other ones. Keep it coming.

  Outstanding camera work - it moves and weaves, giving a sense of impending action, teasing the viewer with it's suggestion that something is going to happen. Which it does, in the final act. The dinner itself gives a false sense of calm, and when that final act occurs the violence is swift and intense, a great contrast to the set-up. Excellent performance by Robert Stio. I... I really liked the score in this short as well. A really good score "leads" the audience into the various sections of a film emotionally and in pace - this score does that well. The edit is tight and moves the film quickly, not a boring second. The web compression is a tad rough - too bad, I would have loved to see the Panasonic's footage in all it's detailed glory. Nice work with the sets and locations. I loved that opening dolly shot in the supermarket. Good solid horror/thriller from a filmmaker to watch. read

  I am going to be perfectly honest with you... I didn't get where you were coming from, however it appears that you put your heart and sould into this... and I am going to say CONGRADS on your accomplishment as a film maker... Don't feel bad, you got your vision on the screen (which is your job), screw what anyone else thinks!
