  Not Great, but still decent

  Not bad camera angles or simple story. The lack of color makes it a little bit...not as good as it could be. The moment when the sound goes all weird is the best part. Thats what made me keep watching honestly, so kudos. He acted fine, yet there wasn't any script so anything so not that hard of a role.

  We seek a story that leads us on a curved oath, reveiling the story line as we go, In a short format it is hard to do a complete idea and not make it transparant. I do not like artsy films and I do not like black and white. This film is both and I like it, if this is your thing please watch it , I recommend it highly. The story line is " I can't seem to get any quiet so I can...   The story line is " I can't seem to get any quiet so I can sleep". The storyline by itself makes the story somewhat transparant. The Filmmaker did a wonderful job of surprising me at the end, and then surprising me with a secound twist. Well shot, well written, well done. read

  the sound was really crisp. The end was a really good twist. Also - you don't hear enough leonard cohen in the world! the length was about right, although it did seem a quick leap to him shooting himself. could the tension have been ramped up more, in order for the shooting not to seem a bit excessive? overall though, thought it was great.

  That a clean cut, i watching in ... 8-)) The stsory was not very clear, but that's OK, - a "short" ... if a bit more voice or more clear voice will be fine. A development of the story to a "unshort" is interesting. Can i get a script from the video ? The sound design for the video is very simple, one more advanced sound is by MOV not possible, but is welcome. Good night!... That a clean cut, i watching in ... 8-))

  I really loved this film until the end -- all the sound work was really great. The concept was wonderful too -- everyone knows what it's like not to be able to get some piece and quiet. But I felt like the film betrayed itself by resorting to the old suicide bit. Why would anyone kill themselves just because they couldn't get some sleep? I was hoping there would be some...   I thought that this film was edited very well. The sound effects in it were great and were very high quality. The movie kept me hooked from the second it started because I can relate to it 100%. I think that any person can relate to it also. The ending to it made me jump and i thought was very clever.

  I enjoyed the cinematography. Distinct angles and point of view. I liked the grainy black and white. Also, the sound production was quite good. I think the tension could be tighter. In the bedroom scene with the different distractions, I believed the character was annoyed. I certainly would be. But I really didn't feel like the gun made sense. Maybe I needed more back story...   humm...what does our insomniac hero do for a living? I'm not quite sure at all, but I would have liked to know what drove him to blow his brains out with a very crappy plastic toy gun. I can't believe the director/DP decided to go with such a bad prop and shoot an extreme CU of it too...sad. The editing could have used a bit more work too...I'm talking about the clock scene... humm...what does our insomniac hero do for a living? The editing could have used a bit more work too...I'm talking about the clock scene being thrown across the room and smashed against the wall. It sure would have been nice to have a cinamatography a little more still on some of the shots and not do the whole entire piece hand held. The audio which was pretty promising in the beginning doesn't keep up. After putting earplugs why was the drawer so loud? A quiet drawer with an accelerating louder heart beat would have done the work much nicer. What is the point of this story? When you are tired and got a scratched record, blow your head off and go back to one?....no thank you. I enjoy the black & white though. read

  Quite terrifying!

  I have watched sleep well about 5 times now and it really shakes my bones. Not because of the quite violent ending, but the violent truth in it. Poor guy just wants to "rest in peace", cut off every noise surrounding him, including his own breath. everyone who is honest, can feel with him. sometimes it is just too much, but there is simply nothing you can do against it. and... Poor guy just wants to "rest in peace", cut off every noise surrounding him, including his own breath. everyone who is honest, can feel with him. sometimes it is just too much, but there is simply nothing you can do against it. and then, in the end, when he finds the final solution, fate plays a trick against him. he gets reborn to a life full of noise again. maybe i misunderstood the whole thing, but thats the way i get the picture. however, this short is very well done and professional filmed and cut. worth to watch twice or about 5 times. read

  Well, one thing is for sure. I live in London and noise never ever cease. So yes, I do feel sympathetic with the character trying to get some 'acoustic' piece. Moreover, I seem to be a bit of a nutcase myself and can apparently spot noises no one else hears. Go figure. Anyway, nice short over here. A simple story simply delivered with excellent results. Nice camera work, convincing... Well, one thing is for sure. I live in London and noise never ever cease. So yes, I do feel sympathetic with the character trying to get some 'acoustic' piece.   Anyway, nice short over here. A simple story simply delivered with excellent results. Nice camera work, convincing acting, ok(ish) sound. Only thing the music from the LP which I believe was used without permission. There is no mention in your credits you were given right to use this music and it looks like you couldn't. That is illegal dude, can't do that. May be you want to re-upload your short fixing this problem?
  
  Other than that, well done, I really enjoyed that. But now excuse me, I've gotta figure out WHERE THAT NOISE IS COMING FROM IS KILLING ME DRIVING ME CRAZY AAAARGH!
