  From the gorgeous opening overhead shot I was taken in by the simplicity and character of this little short. I think it's a very brave decision to set your film in a bed and to use very little converage, and I think it totally pays off. You are helped by the terrific performances you got out of both your actors. And don't listen to anyone who tells you there is not enough 'story'... You are helped by the terrific performances you got out of both your actors. And don't listen to anyone who tells you there is not enough 'story' or not enough happens - this short stands out becasue its more concerned with characters, performances, and atmosphere - the 3 things any great film has. My only worry is the last line. I think there is definitely a better way to end the film, but nice job all the same. read

  I like this, dead simple, well acted, cutely observed and warm. It didin't try to overcomplicate things with its shots, just trusted the actots to what they do. My one issue with it is that while I recognise the need for that last lline, I thought it was a little out of keeping with the tone, a I just think there was a funnier line out there that could have been used.   Excruciatingly long and dull. I'm surprised the camera operator didn't fall into bed asleep next to the actors. The colors and lighting were nice though. Acting was reasonably good. But can't see you keeping many people's interest through an 8 minute shot. It would be different if the dialog were stellar, but here it's fair at best. Last line of short was a bit of a puzzler...   There was alot I liked about this film, there was depth and emotion in the script, I thought the female actor was excellent, wasn't quite as impressed by the male actor, he seemed awfully sensitive for a guy. I liked the lack of music and the long silences, but I thought the last line was a wrong ending for a film that promised so much.

  I wasnt entertained by this movie hardly at all. I dont know why you would chose to make a film like this. Its one scene - not a short film. I think writer's and directors need to do more with short films. Ok you have only ten mins but make a story at least. Nothing wrong with the production value at this level, editing sparse but i can't really say its bad. Acting was... I wasnt entertained by this movie hardly at all. Acting was to be fair better than most i see on the site, at least proving that the director can direct actors. However, please make something that people may at least want to watch. A couple spitting up, who i got no back story on, didn't give a damn about - it just doesn't captivate me. read

  Finally a respectfull short with great dialogues and great pacing. The whole film was really quiet and slowly built the harmony between the two characters. I loved the way the two acted and the way they emotionally got involved. The story was a simple one and that proves again that you don't need a complex story to make your film work. Great effort and wonderfull setup. I got drawn into the film as the action progressed, even with the some of the beats who were a bit long, i enjoyed it a lot. Good work! read

  Okay. Boy did this drag on. And on. And on. And on.I really started getting antsy. But this might have been cured by seeing it on a bigger screen. Unfortunately, that isn't a choice, and on this format. 8 and half minutes is way too long to gety to before the guy says "Get the f£$% out." Which is a shame, because that came as somewhat of a surprise. Had this been half... Okay. Boy did this drag on. And on. And on. And on.I really started getting antsy. Had this been half the length, it might have been worth a second viewing, but I couldn't bare going throught another 8 and a half minutes of that.You should never try to intentionally make your audience feel uncomfortable in a romantic comedy. Nine time out of ten, it never pays off. read

  ...but it is. There is some unknown charming quality working for this short. I don't think the shot or holding onto it for so long was uncomfortable. The idea itself drags on a bit in the second half, but I think the handling of the high, wide handheld shot worked fine. The actress was pretty compelling and funny. The actor's performance was a little harder to get with... ...but it is. There is some unknown charming quality working for this short. The actress was pretty compelling and funny. The actor's performance was a little harder to get with. He makes some "funny faces" while reacting to the women's comments. There's one in particular in the first half in a closeup where he looks like he's doing a bad DeNiro squinty-face. I think the actor was just not given enough direction. He does get the punch line at the end and he pulls it off. I think the experiment of holding on the high angle worked, but I do think that more use could have been made of the runtime. Put more in for the man to do, or shave a couple of minutes off. read

  1- The audio quality was bad. It sounded like you did make an attempt at cleaning it up, but it still needed work. 2- The colors were nice, but the whole film could have been a little bit brighter (but that could also be my monitor). 3- More variety of shots would have made this film a little less boring. I read in your production notes that you wanted to make the audience feel uncomfortable by static shots, it never made me feel uncomfortable; just bored, although I do understand the reasoning behind the long drawn out static shots to enhance the uncomfortable silences between the two characters. Finally, I think this short film should have been shorter. Better luck next time. read

  Okay, I don't feel so bad saying how much I hated this because, judging by your production notes, you feel the same way. It was nicely shot (what shots there were) and the performances weren't bad but, man, this is just a test of an audience's endurance! I've seen some of your other films and this is by far not a good representation of your skills.
