  Wow! I really liked this short! It was shot extremely well (and very professionally I might add) and it made me laugh, which is always a good thing. The fact that you used your family in this short shows that you like to get them involved in your activities and pursuits, and that is wonderful. Again, I loved every second of this amusing and atmospheric skit, and the film... Wow! I really liked this short!   Nice and simple. Just a bunch of hours of shooting and here it is. Not bad at all. Maybe too long. I really think you could edit a shorter version and it could work better. The light doesn't help either. I think you should have shot it later in the day, it would have added a lot more suspence. Music and acting are fine.   All in all, that's a good job, but I don't think it should be considered for a competition. It's too basic and looks more like a storytelling exercise than a real short film. read

  SPY vs. SPY, cute concept, good short. I thought the short had a fun and witty concept. The kid is really sneaky and plays it off really well. The short was prove that you can shoot a simple short that can work if you can throw in a funky little soundtrack. It was really good and well done for a two actors show. Spy vs. Spy, very entertaining, will their be a sequel? Ha-ha,... SPY vs. SPY, cute concept, good short. I thought the short had a fun and witty concept.   Well, I haven't seen Spy Kids (and I am not planning to) but I have to say after having watched 'Spy Vs. Spy' I kght have got the idea. Or may be not? Simple project, which is not offensive you know. Without reading the production notes you should still be able to see the home-videoness of such work. Which, once again, doesn't want to be offensive in any way. As I was saying,... Well, I haven't seen Spy Kids (and I am not planning to) but I have to say after having watched 'Spy Vs. Spy' I kght have got the idea. Or may be not?

  As I was saying, the story is very simple but there is also a nice end twist which makes this short earning a well-deserved smile. The camera work was ok, but please no matter what camera you use, always lock the camera exposure. It is annoying to see the exposure valous going bananas. Editing was ok but you might have avoided to leave the action running for too long.

  I have to say I enjoyed this film. I loved the camera work and the editing. The music was okay, I would have liked to have heard a little more variation in intensity but it was deff spy music. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing your next film.

  When I was seven my old girl bought me a book that had my name as the hero and the names of my mates as the other characters. I was so stoked, so I can't even imagine how chuffed your son must've been when you showed him this bad-boy. Short and straight to the point, this must have been a lot of fun to make. Nice one.

  I’m a big fan of the Spy vs. Spy genre, (if you could call it that), so when I saw this movie, I was particularly interested. And the movie did not let me down. The use of a child for the main roll was perfect. And the theatrical use of folder with the text on it was absolutely brilliant…. Simple, but perfect for the movie. I felt that leading up to the shots in the house,... I’m a big fan of the Spy vs. Spy genre, (if you could call it that), so when I saw this movie, I was particularly interested. And the movie did not let me down. The use of a child for the main roll was perfect. And the theatrical use of folder with the text on it was absolutely brilliant…. Simple, but perfect for the movie.
  
  I felt that leading up to the shots in the house, the piece could have been cut a little tighter, get right into it, and keep it rolling. And the “Opposite Spy” should have had a little more screen time, the whole good / bad, equal balance, non-stop confrontation theme.
  
  Over all, this movie was a pleasure to watch. Nice work with the kids. I would love to see more. read

  This is a cute and simple story. Spy v Spy looked like an obviously fun family project.The instantly recognizable soundtrack permits the lack of dialogue while the story unfolds. There were some pixel problems and some lighting/shadow issues but they did not take away from the whimsical nature of this short.

  this was a cute home movie with secret agent stories. Reviewing it in that regards, congrats, I enjoyed the entertainment and ill skip the technical reviews as I would give as a film mentor :) but nice job, and Riley was fun to watch as a spy, especially seeing a 7 year old boy drive a car :)

  Despite alot of obvious problems, I suppose its rather well done. Great acting by the kid. He certainly has either a talent for deadpan, or a natural lack of expression which worked rather well for the role. The other actor, I belive it was the mom, with the mallet, was interesting. However, I have a very huge problem with the plot. It would appear that the child was hit over the head with a mallet. But then he opens one eye to reveal he is not hurt at all. This doesn't really make sense, and seems rather insulting to the long line of Spy VS Spy comics, which were all very well thought out, and interesting. Taking a bit more time to flesh out a more sensible plot, might have been a good idea. I assume you have rights to all this material, so I'll say, I would consider it for competition. read
