  Scary - in that your theme is too true to the bone. I laughed all the way through this and as for the good ole boy and his girl - they were faultless- wonderful acting a long with an intelligent idea this short game up trumps. Loved the part relating to the people from the South - Mexico! This can easil find it's way to a TV network. You might be a redneck... Scary - in that your theme is too true to the bone.   I thought this short was very well done. The equipment, one part of which I think was a vectorscope, was very believable. The plot jumped a few places, and ended quite abruptly, but all in all was a very entertaining piece. The flow and the camera tricks really did it for me. The things that were said in the interview were right on point--comedic timing, word choice, the... I thought this short was very well done.   What can I say about this film? Well, it was strange - I like that. It was quarky and funny in places - I like that too. It just felt like there was something missing. It ended rather abruptly without much of conclusion - or perhaps there was a conclusion and I just missed it - I'm not sure. The editing was pretty good but could have been a bit sharped in places. And I enjoyed the first half of the film. The guy being interviewed in the begining, preformed quite well in front of the camera and he was funny too. read

  This spoof wasn't that funny to me because it was too easy to do a spoof on a bunch of cliches by using a bunch of cliches. I love the idea of a spoof, but this one just needed more drama tension (like all the spoofs of the Blair Witch Project) in order to sell the humor. I liked the concept and the host news reporter was pretty good too.

  I really liked the main charater (Luther) who was being interviewed. He's one of those guys who has a natural hilarious improv slant that can make average humor work in a big way. The script is very funny with a lot of good satire. It seems like there's a lot of down home talent here. The camera work is a bit lacking as the footage is often dark and hard to view. I like... The script is very funny with a lot of good satire. It seems like there's a lot of down home talent here. The camera work is a bit lacking as the footage is often dark and hard to view. I like the hillbilly ("my cousin, brother, daddy, Nipsy") and science fiction parts to this, especially the "he's right behind you" line. This was a lot of fun. You've got the material and acting talent. Now you need to team up with a technical crew to do it all up right. read

  this was pretty funny. the cousin (lead character) is a natural born improv comic, for sure. the problem with this kind of film is that it presents nothing new and quickly becomes a one trick pony. this was certainly the case with strange abnormalities. you take a formula that already exists and modify it a little bit to suit your sense of humor. like i said, there's nothing... this was pretty funny. the cousin (lead character) is a natural born improv comic, for sure. the problem with this kind of film is that it presents nothing new and quickly becomes a one trick pony. this was certainly the case with strange abnormalities. you take a formula that already exists and modify it a little bit to suit your sense of humor. like i said, there's nothing wrong with that, it's just not the most creative work you could be doing. best of luck with future projects! read

  This short had a few clever and imaginative shots in it, and the overall idea was pretty decent. I had a bit of a tough time finsing it believable at all. Now don't get me wrong. I understand it was a satire of silly shows with rednecks that love them.. I think the problem is that in real life, such shows and the people that gravitate to them are already spoofs. Your point... I understand it was a satire of silly shows with rednecks that love them.. I think the problem is that in real life, such shows and the people that gravitate to them are already spoofs. Your point was made early on and the film kinda ground it in a bit too much. Shortening this piece would go a long way in making it funnier. The actress seemed quite amused by the whole thing, leading me to think it was totally unscripted. Kudos, as always for getting off your ass and doing the film! read

  I enjoyed watching this satire, but not as much as I enjoy watching the shows they were pointing their finger at. These shows -about odd happenings and goings-on- are easy to make fun of, and rarely make much sense, but I don't think, at least in this case, their easy to duplicate with a humorous effect. And I don't know why that is. With that being said, I think the writers/actors/directors... I enjoyed watching this satire, but not as much as I enjoy watching the shows they were pointing their finger at. These shows -about odd happenings and goings-on- are easy to make fun of, and rarely make much sense, but I don't think, at least in this case, their easy to duplicate with a humorous effect. And I don't know why that is. With that being said, I think the writers/actors/directors did a good job with protraying the characters in an unsavory light. The soundtrack and opening "Strange Abnormalities" graphics were excellent, and the camerawork was fttingly amateur-ish. As the stories on television don't tend to go anywhere but find their resolution in something seemingly unattatched to the original point, this succeeds in parodying that as well. All in all, I think it a great effort to poke fun of something that is already funny enough standing on it's own. read

  I had mixed feelings about this film. Some of the scenes were just so funny that I had to laugh, not really any particular thing, just the acting and method of shooting certain scenes. I started getting bored of all the redneck jokes, it was funny, but eh. I did enjoy Nippsie, he was probably one of the most interesting characters ever, the scenes with him were oddly humorous... I had mixed feelings about this film. Some of the scenes were just so funny that I had to laugh, not really any particular thing, just the acting and method of shooting certain scenes.   This is an American Style of humour which I find really, really unappealing. God I've seen this sort of thing so many times. It seems that when there's a lack of creative ideas, people do remakes of bad ideas masquerading them as paradies or satires, which more often than not, doesn't work - as is the case here. Not for me, good luck.
