  Of all the films I have seen on trigger street this one inspired the most empathy for the character, and for Pete’s sake he is a trash can! Where did you ever come up with this? Those years were pretty well spent. Does he have a name by any chance? Do you actually use him for trash? I liked the spaghetti dinner part, it made me laugh. Great film.

  Ok Here I Go. Good little short. I liked it. When It first started I was like, Ok this is fun but I don't think I can take 9 minutes of this. Then everytime I started feeling bored it got a little more silly. I liked when he started responding to humans, and fishing and so forth that was fun. It was a sweet little story. It's weird to see a movie that was filmed over... Ok Here I Go. Good little short. I liked it. When It first started I was like, Ok this is fun but I don't think I can take 9 minutes of this. Then everytime I started feeling bored it got a little more silly. I liked when he started responding to humans, and fishing and so forth that was fun. It was a sweet little story. It's weird to see a movie that was filmed over years. I liked the music, it really help out with the feelings. At first I thought the music was what carried the story and I still feel that way a bit but knowing that the writer/director also did the music made me feel better about it. The look of the film is kinda lame looking but none the less I liked it good job and take care. read

  First of all, could I just say that your film made me feel like a fool.......in a good way though. I found myself genuinely caring about plastic rubbish bins and feeling sorry/happy etc for Baja and his buddies. As I read in the production notes, this was labour of love, so congratulations for just getting it done, as it's so easy to let projects go, when they drag on. Anyway,... First of all, could I just say that your film made me feel like a fool.......in a good way though. I found myself genuinely caring about plastic rubbish bins and feeling sorry/happy etc for Baja and his buddies.
  
  As I read in the production notes, this was labour of love, so congratulations for just getting it done, as it's so easy to let projects go, when they drag on.
  
  Anyway, I thought the idea was very original and although it wasn't the most polished looking film, the look of the film, together with the editing style and the music worked very well together. Good job!! read

  Let me start off by seeing that this is the best short film I have seen yet on this website, a unique and creative piece that really showcases the talent of the filmmaker and his visual style as a director. It is hard enough to make people empathize with other actors, much less a garbage can. The editing was fast paced and totally kinetic, the storyline was believable and... Let me start off by seeing that this is the best short film I have seen yet on this website, a unique and creative piece that really showcases the talent of the filmmaker and his visual style as a director. It is hard enough to make people empathize with other actors, much less a garbage can. The editing was fast paced and totally kinetic, the storyline was believable and hilarious, and I cannot tell you the number of times I cracked up watching this film. I especially loved the part when the garbage can attempted suicide -- priceless, and when it was kicked out of the building. Just one hell of an amazing little short film with no lack of creativity. read

  I like this. I've seen it before - and I know it's done the festival rounds. So there's probably not much new that can be said about it. I guess the praise is needed though because this could so easily have been the most boring thing ever. I mean, it is the most boring thing ever, it's a load of shots of a bloody garbage can!!. Yet somehow, it's great. Credit where credit's... I like this. I've seen it before - and I know it's done the festival rounds. So there's probably not much new that can be said about it.

Yet somehow, it's great. Credit where credit's due, Pete Barry's style, his rhythm, his creativity- that's the only way watching a trashcasn could be amusing. My personal favourite bit was the swing set!!.
  
  I think this is my favourite inanimate object since 'Wilson' in Cast Away. Maybe it's time for the academy to begin recognising such great acting performances- I mean, it's no more or less wooden acting than most Oscar winners anyway.

  At first let me say it's edited very accurate. But it's a quite boring film. Of course it's a original idea but it's way too long for a 9 minute short film. I don't know but it seems to me as if someone tries to be intelectual even though the "screenplay" isn't. It's actually about, well, nothing. It's like a view shots just put together randomly.

  2 out of 5. I pulled up this one because I wanted to see another film by the same guy I previously reviewed, hoping it would be better. The music in this film (done by the filmmaker) is great. The editing also gives away that this was a huge project. I am quite amazed at the effort that must have gone into this. However, I want to be entertained rather than just impressed by... 2 out of 5. I don't know how this film was recognized/selected by triggerstreet, that really concerns me. There is something about filmmaking that is hard to pinpoint; it is certainly not this! Best wishes to Pete Barry, you certainly have a lot of talent. read

  A very clever, original, and imaginative film. You are to be commended for such a painstaking effort. I truly came to know our little friend. I laughed, I cried, I cheered and jeered. Such an adventure. So many references I'll have to go back and watch this one again. I especially liked the fishing scene, but too many favorites to name.   For those of you out there who wonder what your inanimate objects do while you're away, this whimsical piece doesn't completely satisfy. While it's a "kooky" idea to document the travels of a trash can, I don't think it merited nine long minutes. A trash can, more than most non-lifeforms, may serve as an interesting record of those who toss their rejects into it--and it might... A trash can, more than most non-lifeforms, may serve as an interesting record of those who toss their rejects into it--and it might have been more satisfying to document the lives of the couple / person who owned it through the objects they threw away. (Their ups and downs, the forgive me flowers that landed in the can, the box of cigars she can't stand, the straight-F report card of their son, the new shirt he refuses to wear, the divorce papers, and so on.) As it is, though, it wasn't smooth enough or tightly edited enough to keep me entertained for the duration. read

  In my many viewing encounters on Triggerstreet I mostly come across short films that want a studio to make them into a feature, then I find this film and it's like a fresh of breath air. The film obviously will not impress any studios to make it into a feature, but the filmmaker did his best in make a true one of a kind short film that was made from the heart that touched my...
