  This was a nice short to watch. The cinematography was excellent and the production quality was near professional. I love your choice of soundtrack, especially towards the end of the film. I felt the story was clear enough, although I did have to watch the ending a couple more times to understand why the main character threw the shirt in the trash can, but eventually I got...   Disappointing is the first word that springs to mind after watching this short film. I wonder if this is a disguised ad from the Christian community in order to win back souls... Character development is poor if non-existent, reasons behind the characters's actions are not given. The woman's role is shallow at best and the man very manipulable. The title is completely wrong... Disappointing is the first word that springs to mind after watching this short film.   The title is completely wrong. I suggest something like There Is A God After All would cover the content much better.

  ...a thousand children starved to death, an earthquake leveled a small city killing hundreds, an alcoholic preacher beat his son to death for being gay and a Muslim woman was raped by a group of her brother's friends for not wearing her hijab. If your goal was to impress your youth group, mission accomplished.

  Aside from being a clear cut story, I would have like to have seen more of the girl in the film. It was difficult to believe her life changing motives while not seeing her expressions. Need more close-ups of her. The music gave away the ending. From the beginning it felt like watching a religious film. Then I knew what the ending was going to be. Instead, why not try as much...   The music gave away the ending. From the beginning it felt like watching a religious film. Then I knew what the ending was going to be. Instead, why not try as much as possible to leave the viewer in suspense to find out what happens.
  
  I also believe that one experience such as this would not change an atheist. It would take several instances to pull this off. An idea such as this is good for a short film, but better as a feature.

  I enjoyed that this film had a religious connotation to it, but it didn’t work for me. A true atheist like Madalyn Murray O’Hare would never let this “mind jolting experience” sway her. From his POV, Man is aware, but when he reaches the street corner why does he lose it? It’s natural to have a hundred things going on in one’s mind, but wearing apparel of a literalistic... I enjoyed that this film had a religious connotation to it, but it didn’t work for me. A true atheist like Madalyn Murray O’Hare would never let this “mind jolting experience” sway her.
  
  From his POV, Man is aware, but when he reaches the street corner why does he lose it?
  
  It’s natural to have a hundred things going on in one’s mind, but wearing apparel of a literalistic nature would not be one of them. Of course in the back of his mind Man is cognizant and it's more realistic to have some type of lively awakening to that fact when it comes back to mind. I think an opportunity to showcase that bit of animation on the part of Man was missed.
  
  It’s out of the ordinary to be a walking zombie, it would be more common place to acknowledge Woman. Man is an Atheist not an automaton.
  
  My feeling is that Woman was an angel of sorts. Given her divine task to effectively correct Man’s chemical imbalance, it would have been more apropos that it was HER voice at the end, instead of a voice over. As a matter of fact incorporating an additional scene actually showing Her talking on the walkie talkie would have tremendous effect. read

  Alright. How many of us hav watchd film like this b4? well, this director/writer knows, hence kept it within 2 mins. And that impacts the audience. Nowadays, independent filmmakers are better off making short films as not only is it difficult to compress a narrative into a 2-10 min film, it's also impactful. Films like the Atheist is a good example of what the director's... Alright. How many of us hav watchd film like this b4? well, this director/writer knows, hence kept it within 2 mins. And that impacts the audience.
  
  Nowadays, independent filmmakers are better off making short films as not only is it difficult to compress a narrative into a 2-10 min film, it's also impactful.
  
  Films like the Atheist is a good example of what the director's future directorial intentions are and a film like this can be used for future work. Producers want directors who have a clear vision and stick to it. more importantly it should reflect onto the final visual product.

  I enjoyed your film! I find the sound jump at about 1:40 ,(where it cuts to a close up) is a bit strange. I would have left the traffic sounds in maybe turned down a bit. Or if you chose to remove sound to symbolize a sort of inner reflection or calm, then perhaps a bit of a calming noise. I hope that makes sense.

  I liked the simple, straightforward idea although I think the symbolism lacks originality. I think it's more than okay to follow the classical topoi but something should be superadded - not only a contemporary setting. I like the shots. It starts off a bit off-focus of the character - while he's in a crowd - to an all-consuming one.

  Liked this film. Short, sweet and to the point. Well shot, no wasted shots, nothing bumpy in the dialogue, acting, anywhere. My extremely picky criticisms are around the ending. First, the music swells quite a bit and I felt it was too grandiose for the shortness of your film and shortness of the build up. I love the music, btw, it's just "too much". Then, you stop the music... Liked this film. Short, sweet and to the point. Well shot, no wasted shots, nothing bumpy in the dialogue, acting, anywhere.
  
  My extremely picky criticisms are around the ending. First, the music swells quite a bit and I felt it was too grandiose for the shortness of your film and shortness of the build up. I love the music, btw, it's just "too much".
  
  Then, you stop the music for the inserted dialogue with God. Hmmm, wouldn't have been my choice. Possibly just reducing the volume would have been sufficient. LOVE the little dialogue thing, though. Clever.
  
  Finally, your credits looked a bit weird. "Original music by" or whatever it said. Lots of people score for films, so you can just say "Music John Smith". The end credits were big and bold and beautiful when the story itself was very short. It felt "credits heavy" if that makes sense. Lighten up and shorten up so as not to overwhelm your story's punch line. You're done with the story -- so Be Done.

  I grabbed this short video because of its theme, since religion seems to always be at the forefront of a lot of the good, as well as the evil, of the world, and was curious to see one persons view of that. Honestly, overall I didn't like it.Seemed too slanted (to the right) for me, and think it would be to most other open-minded viewers.Wearing a shirt like that should come...   Honestly, overall I didn't like it.Seemed too slanted (to the right) for me, and think it would be to most other open-minded viewers.Wearing a shirt like that should come with instructions to not look so down in the dumps if you're going to make that bold of a statement, otherwise, I wouldn't want to get within 50 yards of this person.I think it was trying to send the subliminal message that you will not be happy if you are an atheist.
  Film-wise, at the traffic light, I couldn't tell if the woman was looking at the approaching traffic or him.That could have been clearer, with a simple closer view from the same vantage point, before the dialogue.
  Now back to the overall feel...
  Then she pulls him back onto the curb and he suddenly, with such a bold statement on his shirt, becomes a believer, instead of simply chalking it up to "compassion" or even simpler "a good samaritan" or even simpler "stranger saves his stupid as*".
  I found this video a little propagandish, and not a reflection of or even an interesting take on, human interaction.But what do I know, I'm just a caveman videographer! read
