  This movie made me itch, but I liked it.

  It was a very interesting style of animation. I was surprised how well the lip movement seemed in sync. I chuckled a few times, mostly from of the dialogue exchanges. And of course, some good ole smiting is always a plus for any movie. Overall, a charming diversion from our serious lives.

  This is the first time I have seen a short filmed in this style. It is certainly original, but my immediate thought is: Why? Having chosen this style, the film maker is afforded licence for effects and action unavailable to other traditional film makers. Unfortunately, with the exception of the helicopter and flying hero shots there is no need for this style. For the most... This is the first time I have seen a short filmed in this style.   For the most this is a series of talking heads. So why not just film it?
  
  The dialogue and delivery is sharp and witty, so the style just became annoying. If something unfilmable would have been presented, I would understand, but it seemed like a missed opportunity.
  
  The highpoint was the witty banter between the doctor and friend.
  
  I had sound issues, but that could just be my computer.

  Way cool!

  Hey, this was really cool. It was such a surprise. A real nugget of gold on TS. This was genuinely funny and interesting and a novel idea too. The acting was good and I enjoyed the laid back flat mate. This could easily be broadcast in a short late night comedy slot. BTW, I've recently been plaged by mozzies myself, I really know the pain, man I know the pain.....

  Super Restless Mosquito

  Wow – this was fun from the opening credits. Fantastic use of the still images and animated effects with an awesome script. Great soundtrack and voice-overs, with wonderful demonstrative acting in the still shots – allowed the animation to be even more animated (if that makes sense). The lighting in the set ups for the shots was perfect. The eyes and mouths in the dialogue... Wow – this was fun from the opening credits. Fantastic use of the still images and animated effects with an awesome script. Great soundtrack and voice-overs, with wonderful demonstrative acting in the still shots – allowed the animation to be even more animated (if that makes sense). The lighting in the set ups for the shots was perfect. The eyes and mouths in the dialogue were creative funniness, but not as much as the “I can’t feel my face” and “I can’t move my fingers” comments. I loved his definitions for a super-hero, especially in relation to the incredible powers a mosquito seems to have against mortal man! Especially for this guy. However, the lead character proves he is somewhat not ready for the role, even though the actor’s performance was awesome.
  
  The edit was perfect, the entire film had a smooth flow. The synopsis is cute – so is the costume, although it had to be quite odd to others seeing him walk around in it. Especially the pants - a personal fav - but perhaps a wrong choice for some (hehe). Perfect glasses! The hospital scenes were fantastic and again perfect edit and wonderful script – laughing out loud at the demeanor of the doctor explaining ‘Fatal Familiar’ Insomnia. Sad but wrong funny. I thought the ending result would be too much if not dreamed (like I could fall for the doctor’s description but not the cruelty met at heaven?) That last gasp was perfect. Overall fantastic fun, a high recommend. read

  Now this is a good example of how much story can be packed into 10 minutes and what can be done with a simple subject - like a mosquito. The mosquito leads cast and crew (and viewers) down all sorts of interesting digressions which still remain about a mosquito without ever repeating themselves. Congratulations this was very, very well done. I love the whole concept. Very...   Congratulations this was very, very well done. I love the whole concept. Very creative. The animation worked, the pacing worked, a whole world was created that made sense to the story being told. I loved it! read

  You had me at the beginning because I love animation. I loved the opening and at first when I saw the live action I was worried only parts of your film would have animation in it but I was happy to be wrong, and glad to see the entire film be animation. I especially thought all of the talking moments where great and well animated, plus thier comedic timing was perfect and... You had me at the beginning because I love animation. I loved the opening and at first when I saw the live action I was worried only parts of your film would have animation in it but I was happy to be wrong, and glad to see the entire film be animation. I especially thought all of the talking moments where great and well animated, plus thier comedic timing was perfect and matched by the animation. Normally I'd complain about bad ADR but their perfomances were so on and the overall tone of the film and the aesthic quality matched so I had no issues with the poor sound recording. I loved the line "I'm not going to be your butler". There were some moments that I thought were not very funny, like when the roomate caught him in his costume. I didn't even like the actual superhero costume. I loved the dream sequence though and thought that the entire time you should have just made him a paper superhero like the dream. I really didn't like the single source light during the montage of him trying to be a superhero. The only funny moment for me there was when he was on the subway sitting next to that guy. I think you could cut out that entire monatage and just go from, I am going to be a superhero show him flying around and God and Jesus do their thing and end it the way it is. I think that would make this film stand out even more, it would make it shorter and right to the point better. Overall great job I know it takes alot of time to animate and go in and out of photoshop into what ever editing program you are using. For the most part I really enjoyed this short especailly ANY OF THE TALKING PARTS. The talking parts were money and some of the great facial expressions which came from the marriage of what the actors did to what you did animating really sold the comedy!!! So great job. The Dream sequence was my Favorite part it reminded me of Monty Python!!! and I love Monty Python. I really thought it was funny when Jesus told God to smite him!! Great dream sequence. read

  I think you needed a better setup in terms of the superhero fantasy for the victim - like having him read superman comic books as he falls asleep. Without that, the whole caped crusader thing on the tail of the mosquito story is a jarring non sequitur and left me shaking my head. There was also a big continuity prob - the roommate shouldn't have gotten that major haircut... Also, Jesus should have been turned the other direction when he was talking to God because, as you have him presented positioned, he's talking to God's backside.

  You WIN!! I love it!!! I'm jeolous! So photoshop and then after effects? I use both of those and I wish I new exactly how you did that. I bet it took a while to animate the mouth. Ok enough silly comments. I really love a story that takes me somewhere different otherwise unreachable in the real world. You did that in such a fun way. Thank you. It was inspiring.... You WIN!!   This short was fun and definitely took its time in telling its story. Think it can be a lot shorter and its humor upped a notch. Like where you landed with it all, a very satisfying finish it is. The hybrid approach to animation here, is kind of odd to me. Once I went with it, it seemed less strange. Not sure you need the god stuff, the smiting, and all that... It just added more when you were fine with less. A mosquito in the hand of the beholder is either a dead insect or an inspiration for a life choice? Now, you don't see that subject on Triggerstreet much.

  This presentation is interesting in the way it is put together. The story drags way too long and devolves into silliness. The sound is good and the animation is fun. There surely is a point when the editor must say come on we must move this story along. Let us cut huge chunks out to get this train going.
