  A man, showing tension, drives to a phone booth and calls to report an accident and wanting to remain anonymous. This is an effective opening element of mystery. Having the man jump dressed into the shower made me more curious. Then the reveal comes in, he caused the accident. After this I think it needs more development on showing his state of mind for the end to work, which...   Decent little short. The concept is good enough, and I like the way it is presented. You have a guy making a telephone call about an accident, wanting to remain anonymous, but there's an element of mystery as to why. Then we see in a flashback that he hit someone with his car. The editing was good, though a few times I could hear the cuts in the sound. Camerawork seemed decent,... Decent little short. The concept is good enough, and I like the way it is presented.   The editing was good, though a few times I could hear the cuts in the sound. Camerawork seemed decent, and the shots were well selected.
  
  The biggest thing is that I wish there had been more of a story to it. If it were longer it would give us more time to feel the emotions and conflict, and it would allow those emotions and conflict to grow in the characters (or maybe I should say character, singular). Right now, it's rather short, which doesn't give us much time to get to know the character. Usually jumping right in is a good thing, but here, perhaps some more room to breathe would have been nice.

  I'm just going to be upfront and say that I don't have a lot of experience with short films, this actually being my first one seeing, so I don't have anything with which to compare it. My opinion of it is that I really liked it. I've always been a big believer in the saying "show, don't tell" and this is a wonderful example of that. This explores the very real situation...   I've always been a big believer in the saying "show, don't tell" and this is a wonderful example of that. This explores the very real situation of a hit and run, and I think it perfectly captures how someone with that mentally would act afterwards. I really love how at the end, he just goes back to life as if it didn't happen, but you know it will haunt him.
  
  If I have any complaints, it's that I want more. I'm not sure how long short films can typically be, but it left me wanting more. I guess that means it was successful. I also wish that when he actually hits the guy, we see more of the thought process of him thinking of whether or not to leave.
  
  Great short film anyway, those being only minor nitpicks. read

  This film was shot well. Every shot told a story. A man reports an accident but won't leave his name. From that moment I knew that something was wrong. But what? He then takes a shower, which was clear that he was trying to wash his sin away. As the water pours out of the shower we transition to his flashback. Which I think could have been smoother and clearer, and we see that... This film was shot well. Every shot told a story. A man reports an accident but won't leave his name.   I think it was shot OK. The man hits someone and then goes on with work. It's kind of interesting. It needs another minute or two and a 2nd act. Even though you shot it in 45 minutes (and it's pretty good for that short amount of time) it needs sound design. Hitting the pedestrian could've benefit with a loud CRASH. I think not putting anytime into it is the problem here... I think it was shot OK. The man hits someone and then goes on with work. It's kind of interesting. It needs another minute or two and a 2nd act. Even though you shot it in 45 minutes (and it's pretty good for that short amount of time) it needs sound design. Hitting the pedestrian could've benefit with a loud CRASH. I think not putting anytime into it is the problem here. To make a quality short film one has to put in the time and pre/post-production every film deserves. Otherwise we're just making home movies. To be frank, I felt that it was kind of a waste of time. read

  In this reviewers opinion, I found the film simple yet effective. I feel that you make your statement effectively. Your dp is fantastic. The shots were composed well and the movement helped us (the audience) feel the panic of the moment. I did feel that he performance could have been enhanced a bit though. I think overall, you have a quality short and a fantastic stepping stone for your next one. Keep on making movies because that's the only way we, as filmmakers, can get better and elevate our game.   I really enjoyed this piece!!!! I thought the story developed quickly, it was coherent and concise. Very well done. If I were to pick on anything, the background music was just a bit too loud. Having just read the posts about using voice over and how it should never be used - unless it is the appropriate vehicle, I would say you used it very well!

  This film has a nice simple clearly defined structure. I liked the way it withheld elements of the plot from the audience, this made me curious to know what had happened? What would prompt our man to get into the shower fully dressed? I thought the ending was great, where the computer asks him how his weekend was, and there's a kind of juxtaposition between the light stock... This film has a nice simple clearly defined structure. I liked the way it withheld elements of the plot from the audience, this made me curious to know what had happened? What would prompt our man to get into the shower fully dressed? I thought the ending was great, where the computer asks him how his weekend was, and there's a kind of juxtaposition between the light stock kind of phrases that people ask and the impossibility of summing up the trauma of his recent experience. This is given further resonance by our mans ability to seemingly brush the trauma under the carpet, or at least absorb the experience and continue with his mundane life. For me the main element which lets the film down is the central character. I think he is supposed to be a bit of a cold fish, but there's something not quite right about his internal conflict. It needs to be a bit more raw. I'd say it was an acting thing rather than anything to do with the story line, though perhaps a bit more build up of his pre-crash character might have helped. Though you were probably working to a time limit.
  
  Nice film with a clear sense of narrative progression, For my mind just needed a bit more internal trauma from the actor, it doesn't have to be big trauma, the smaller and more internal the better. I just wanted to believe it. read

  Very nice job. I think I only heard the one line of dialogue at the end of the movie ("How was your day?") and I would remove it all together. For one thing the sound quality is different which makes it jaring, and secondly you did an incredible job telling a visual story. I'm not sure I dug the extreme dutch angle as he walks to his car, but that's just an opinion. Nice work... Very nice job.
