  I think you've done a splendid job with the script. It's well written and "plenty" witty! But I think as a whole it could have been a better picture. As far as camera angles are concerned, and I do realize that you were going for the theatrical, long establishing-shot look, the picture becomes a bit boring after the first couple of minutes.   As far as camera angles are concerned, and I do realize that you were going for the theatrical, long establishing-shot look, the picture becomes a bit boring after the first couple of minutes. You simply don't have enough to keep us on our toes. The creative conflict between the characters isn't enough, although they're both well performed by both actors.
  I also like to point out that some of the cuts are simply unforced and unnecessary.
  Overall I enjoyed the piece, but it's mostly due to a very solid performance put forth by both actors. You've done a fine job directing them. read

  No wonder this short made it into the official selection. I am pretty sure enough good have been written about this movie. Camera work: Excellent. well done work in the night, (please correct me if I am wrong) Dialogues: Wow funny!!! Actors: Simply superb. Looks like fine talented artists. I liked the dialogues because for once they were intelligent. The comedy was in... No wonder this short made it into the official selection.

  The production as a whole is put together well. The shots and cuts work together. The lighting fits the mood. The story is clear. And the actors performances played out great for the story. The dynamic between the two is good comedy. I do wonder why they hang out together at all. It did seem a little long. Good job overall.

  it wasn't really OH MY GOD!!! funny... it did make me smile and it was an enjoyable watch and also interesting... but if the point was to be funny you need to put more punchlines in it... and just make it funnier overall... the actors... i'll give them 2.5 stars out of 5... they weren't really good but they weren't really bad... they were leaning more towards the bad side though..... it wasn't really OH MY GOD!!! funny... it did make me smile and it was an enjoyable watch and also interesting... but if the point was to be funny you need to put more punchlines in it... and just make it funnier overall... the actors... i'll give them 2.5 stars out of 5... they weren't really good but they weren't really bad... they were leaning more towards the bad side though... but overall it was enjoyable! read

  This was enjoyable without being all that funny. I don`t think shooting it in Black and White really adds anything to the film. The two main actors are fine with some good dialogue. Things move along at the right kind of pace. Camera work is good. A nice little film and I like the touch with the Snowman at the end.

  Good film, good fun, good laughs. I can't criticize much but, some of the dialogue was a bit too spot on. Perhaps if the actors had more sarcastic lines, the anger and fight scenes could have played better. The fight itself was poorly executed which cheapened the otherwise overall good quality of the film. The god-light from above was a cheesy moment and broke the paradigm...   Technically, the film is very accomplished. The camerawork suits the tone of the story, and kudos to the sound recordist/s for getting the dialogue so crisp. I was surprised to read that it was shot on location and not on a set because of the clarity of said technical achievements. However, I felt the comedy was laboured in places and trying too hard; the ending pull back... Technically, the film is very accomplished.   However, I felt the comedy was laboured in places and trying too hard; the ending pull back from the 'wisecracking' snowman especially so. The actors performed well enough with the material but it was a bit too lightweight and unfunny, although well-meaning, even with the swearing. read

  Didnt drag at all. the score, while Ireally care for it, fit perfectly with the action, The acting is good, the characters are well developed, the shots are interesting. This movie is everything that most I've seen on this site aren't. Good job. Keep it up.

  Technically FLAWLESS with BIG nagging story problem

  It was a real treat to see a movie on Trigger Street that was as technically perfect as this one. The lighting, editing, music, and performaces were all perfect! Actually, the editing was top notch, just like an A television show. My big problem with this movie was that I wasn't given enough information and I had this NAGGING and distracting question running through my head...   My big problem with this movie was that I wasn't given enough information and I had this NAGGING and distracting question running through my head the whole time: why did these guys feel compelled to make this snowman? Were they making it for someone else? Did they have some kind of a bet? Was it a prank on someone? Revenge? Were they doing it for old time sake like the two mis-matched guys in Sideways? I mean, why didn't the movie end when once they guy started to get chided for not making a smooth ball. I guess because I had this nagging question, it kind of took me out of the movie. Still, I must say I loved the simplicity of the production and look. I just needed more info on the characters' motives in order to have been more engaged emotionally. read

  Lots of good stuff in this film. I liked the arrangement of shots, they really helped place the characters in their world and tell the story. I thought both actors were appealing and convincing. The script was surprisingly compelling, keeping one's interest; all shot in one night, that's impressive. Good job.
